Our campus IT tracks printing through networked printers across campus, offering a set amount of printed pages per semester with no additional charge. The IT staff raises the limit upon request, and may collect fees. We have a single vendor who maintains copies for public and public printers...so the first is a charge and the second is not...so it's not a system per se and the system is throughout the buildings...and over the campus, but it's not a "solution" per se. Btw...our printing has gone up 400%+ Student accounts are pre-loaded with $15 worth of printing each semester. Charging for printing has radically cut down the over printing of the students who were just printing indiscriminately. We do still charge late fees (20 ) and for lost books it is cost plus $5 and the fine. College Collin gives each student a $30 printing allotment after they use that amount the print cost is 10 B&W and 25 color. Payment is by TRAC card the same system used for photocopying.
