Ref.NIRT/PROJECT/WEB ADVT/2016-17 Dt: 6.9.2016 Applications are invited upto 23.9.2016 for the following posts to be filled in various projects implemented by this Institute, purely on contract/adhoc basis. 1. Name of the Project : Prevalence of TB infection and disease among pediatric household Contacts of multidrug resistance TB patients a Multi-centric prospective cohort study. Senior Research Fellow (Medical) 1 UR MBBS Degree, recognized by MCI and registered in the respective Council. Degree in Pediatrics or Experience in Pediatrics or TB. Some research experience and knowledge in computer applications. Knowledge of Tamil. Consolidated salary Rs.28,000/- + HRA Rs.8,400/- p m Nature of Duties Involved in conduct of the study, coordination and supervision of the study at the respective sites. Will be responsible for recruitment of study participants, administer informed consent, coordinate the various study activities including investigations. Responsible for the data management at individual sites and will also assist the Principal Investigator in preparation of reports on timely basis. Ooverall be responsible for all aspects of the study and will report to the Principal Investigator. 2. Name of the Project : C Triumph: Cohort for TB Research by the INDO US Medical partnership under DBT Nature of Duties Staff Nurse 1 SC Diploma in Nursing or Mid Wifery (GNM) or equivalent from a recognized Institute and registered as Nurse or ANM with any State Nursing Council. Consolidated salary Rs.29,607/- p.m Patient Management, blood drawing and assist Clinician in patient cohort management.

Name of the Project: Common Protocol for Collecting Data and Specimens from Participants in the Regional Prospective Observational Research for Tuberculosis (RePORT INDIA) Consortium (RePORT INDIA COMMON PROTOCOL). Technician C 2 UR 10+2 with Science subjects equivalent from a recognized Board with DMLT from Govt. recognized organization OR Certificate course in MLT with one year experience in relevant field. Graduate in Life Science materials. 2. Processing and storage of Mycobacterium tuberculosis cultures, MGIT. 3. Processing blood samples for storage. 4. Maintenance of study related files and documents. 5. Maintenance of stock inventory and equipment logs. Consolidated salary Rs.17,040/- p m 4. Name of the Project: RePORT India PBMC External Quality Assessment (EQA) Program Technical Assistant 2 1 UR; 1 OBC Graduate in Science / required subjects from a recognized University with one year MLT course OR Graduate with one year lab experience in lower grade. M Sc Life Science with Training in GCLP and Quality Assessment. materials. 2. Processing blood samples for PBMC isolation, cryopreservation and thawing. 3. Quality assurance. 4. Training in GCLP. 5. Development and maintenance of documents related to EQA for PBMC processing and storage. 6. Maintenance of stock inventory and equipment logs. Consolidated salary Rs.28,755/- p m

5. Name of the Project: Establishment of Biorepository of TB Specimens Technical Assistant 1 UR Graduate in Science / required subjects from a recognized University with one year MLT course OR Graduate with one year lab experience in lower grade. M Sc Life Science materials including blood, body fluids and bacterial isolates. 2. Receiving materials (samples and consumables) coming into and leaving the facility. 3. Data entry of information related to the biological materials, into a proprietary computer database. 4. Maintenance of all facility equipment and log books. 5. Raising indents and maintenance of stock inventory. 6. Maintenance of updated SOPs and biorepository related documents. Consolidated salary Rs.28,755/- p m DIRECTOR.

General Instructions: 1. Applications must be superscribed with applied and Name of the Project at the left top corner of the envelope and applications received after last date (due to Postal/ Courier delays) will not be considered. 2. Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format with complete information and attachments. 3. Candidates are required to mention one valid E-Mail ID. 4. Any application without self-attested copy of relevant certificates / mark sheets / testimonials is liable to be rejected. 5. Additional sheets may be attached in the same format, wherever the space allocated is insufficient. 6. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, other documents and photograph. Furnishing of any false information and/or suppression/concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/cancellation of selection/recruitment. 7. Caste certificate of SC/ST/OBC-NCL should be on the prescribed proforma only issued by the competent authority as per Act / Orders of Government of India under which the same is recognized as SC/ST/OBC-NCL. 8. Reservation will be strictly as per Government of India norms. 9. The competent authority may fix the criteria for shortlisting the candidates higher than the prescribed essential s as per recommendations of the internal screening committee as well as actual or specific requirements of the posts. Hence, mere fulfilment of essential s and experience, requirements does not entail the candidates, eligible to be called for written test. 10. In case of large number of applications received, competent authority has the right to set higher norms than the minimum. The shortlisting may be done based on academic performance and quality / quantity of relevant experience. Written test will be held for the selected shortlisted candidates. The list of shortlisted candidates eligible for further participation in the selection process shall be uploaded/displayed on the Institute website / through post. 11. Venue and date will be intimated on the website. 12. Applicants are required to visit Institute website regularly. 13. Interim enquiries relating to any matter will not be entertained. 14. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason. No recommendation in this matter will be entertained. 15. The competent authority also reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of vacancies as per the requirement. 16. Original documents / certificates will have to be produced at the time of written test., for verification. 17. Canvassing in any form will lead to rejecting of application form. 18. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates regarding conduct and result of written test and reasons for not being called for interview or selection. 19. The decision of the competent authority will be final in the matter of selection. 20. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the written test/interview. 21. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other projects. 22. Candidates having proficiency in the local language of the State and English will be preferred.
