Updates and Developments DILG CBMS implementation in now ISO Certified The Provision of TA on CBMS was accredited by the ISO 9001-2008 Certification as one of the core processes of the Department under the QMS. Timely response to request for TA for CBMS Modular Training 80% of the TAs conducted has an average rating of 3 and above (Satisfactory or higher)

Updates and Developments Agreement on the Use of CBMS Tools and Data for Conduct of CBMS Training Modules With written approval of the RD to provide requesting parties with CBMS data/information of LGUs that have adopted CBMS within the region DILG Regional Officers to furnish the BLGD and the CBMS Network the list of CBMS trainers and/or focal persons who have granted access and created user accounts in the CBMS Portal

Updates and Developments Legislative move to institutionalize CBMS House Bill No. 4700 entitled An Act Institutionalizing Community Based Monitoring System in All Barangays, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and Other Purposes Salient provisions: 1. Establishment of a community based monitoring system in every barangay 2. The DILG shall ensure adequate capacity building of each barangay through intensive training, information dissemination and constant monitoring of all barangay personnel 3. The PSA shall be the national repository of all data collected 4. The DICT, in coordination with the DILG, shall provide all barangays with the necessary equipment and training within 3 years from the effectivity of the Act Discussion with PSA and the CBMS Network on how to operationalize the House Bill

Ways forward Strengthen promotion of CBMS at the local level Capacitate LGUs through the provision of technical assistance to optimize benefits and application of CBMS in planning, implementation and impact monitoring of programs and projects Advocacy Briefing on CBMS for non CBMS LGUs to join the CBMS bandwagon Complete the database for all LGUs in the national repository Utilization of CBMS for monitoring the SDGs Ongoing coordination with NEDA, PSA and the CBMS Network on the localization of SDGs

Ways forward Improvements in the DILG CBMS Portal to enhance progress monitoring and linkage to the national repository Strengthen collaboration with the CBMS Network for the promotion and capacity building of CBMS APP innovations Collaboration with NAPC, PSA, CBMS Network and other partner agencies for harmonizing CBMS implementation and data collection initiatives at the LGU level
