Chairman s Comments Dear Esteemed Members, Oct 2016 Page 2 As you know, public private relationships are an important part of mitigating risk in the security sector. Law enforcement also benefits from the intelligence that security officers can provide. Building these relationships takes a tremendous amount of work and coordination. I am proud of the work each of you puts into working with your local agencies. My first exposure to the ASIS Columbus Chapter was several years ago at the Officer Appreciation Luncheon. Their support of Law Enforcement and the professional atmosphere of their luncheon had quite an impact on me. I decided to become involved with the chapter in order to network with the area s premiere security professionals and to maintain the connection with law enforcement that I experienced throughout my long public service career. As a retired Ohio State Trooper, I am proud of the relationships our chapter has forged with the law enforcement agencies we work with. The job of a police officer gets more complicated each year. The Officer Appreciation Luncheon allows us to demonstrate the respect and admiration our chapter holds for these officers. Thank you for your support Sincerely, Scott R. Wolford, CPP
