2. Number of Finalists (grantees) : 6 people Asian and European participants will be grouped in the same ratio (1:1) for team activities. 3. Candidate Requirements (all requirements must be satisfied) 1) Candidates who are young creators aged between 19 and 39, working in the creative industry, and from ASEM member countries 2) Candidates who show strong potential in the following areas and have work experiences at startups in related areas: 1 Interactive Art, 2 Craft Design, 3Sound Art. 2 people from each area will be selected. 4. Evaluation o Jury members: Total of 5 members - 3 experts (national/international) from outside the Center (mentors, accelerators, etc.)and 2 internal personnel ㅇ Evaluation basis : Documents submitted/presented online by the candidate (application, portfolio) ㅇ Evaluation method : Top 6 candidates with highest average scores from all jury members (out of a total of 100 points) ㅇ Evaluation criteria : Appropriateness (30), Prior Expertise (40), Future potential (30) Criteria Description Score Note - Is the work of the candidate a good match Appropriateness (30) for the ACT studios? - Is the candidate an appropriate creator for the overall project? - Does the candidate have a solid reputation? (record of Prior Expertise (40) national/international awards/support) - How does the candidate s portfolio score in terms of excellence, originality, and cultural diversity? - 4 -
Future potential (30) - What is the performance ability of the candidate? (based on past career achievements and performance) - What future potential does the candidate represent? Project Benefits and Participant Obligations 1) Benefits o Access to ACC studios (3 ACT studios) Refer to Center homepage ACC studio link (https://www.acc.go.kr/en/venues/creation) o Accommodation Accommodations to be designated by ACC, including the Asia Creativity Studio. o Round-trip airfare (economy class, once): limited to participants residing overseas - 5 -
o Basic stipend: KRW 700,000 per month Given individually to project lab participants o Special expenses for creative activities: KRW 5,000,000 per team (per month) o Demo day pitch budget: KRW 1,000,000 per team (per pitch) 2) Participant Obligations o Participants must reside in Gwangju during the Residency Camp project period, and engage in all programs. 7. Programs o Residency program o Research and creative activities centering around the ACC studio o Lectures, discussions, workshops/hackathons, mentoring, networking sessions with startups, idea mentoring for convergence content, brainstorming invention prototypes, showcases, demo day pitches, showcases, etc. 8. Required Documents o 1 copy of application (use attached form) o Portfolio: Portfolio should highlight the creator s capabilities (in free form). For team projects included in the portfolio, the candidate s role and contribution to the project must be specified. Note Application must include overview, action plans and technical details of research plan/creative activity plan for the program. Video clips in the portfolio must be no longer than 5 minutes (under 20MB, in wmv, mp4, or avi formats). Or, a list of Youtube/Vimeo links should be provided on the last page of the portfolio file for video clips. All required documents must be submitted. International candidates must submit a copy of their passports. Projects/activities actually conducted throughout the program after the final selection may be different from the submitted plans. 9. Note o Intentional omission of facts or entry of false information in the submitted documents may result in a loss of points or disqualification, including the cancellation of final selection. Intellectual property rights and copyrights of the creative works belong to the creator, while the ACC shall have unexclusive rights to use the creative works. However, material project outcomes (including products created during the process) may be exhibited or kept by the ACC. o If any creative works result in disputes over previous intellectual property rights, the creator shall take full responsibility for all related issues. Final selection may be cancelled if violations involving idea theft or intellectual property rights are discovered. 10.
