Contact: Cliff Nauss From: John Warnick Commander Frankenmuth Post 150 The new 2018 2019 year will be exciting with our post celebrating the 100th Year of the Legion and Post 150. We are working on increasing membership through an ambitious and talented membership committee that has refreshing ideas. These efforts will make our Legion a better place. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the summer events. SPECIAL EVENTS 1. Scrap Metal Drive Ongoing behind Michigan s Own Military Museum. 2. The Mini Willy s Jeep raffle tickets are available to sell. They are only $10.00 each. We have printed 2,000 tickets. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by September 2018. The money raised will help cover the cost of the many programs that our Post 150 provides for the community and to maintain the building. (see the flyer at the end of this newsletter) 3. American Legion Auxiliary Frankenmuth Unit 150 Is extending an open invitation to any Legion wives, daughters, and/or mothers who are not Auxiliary members to attend the Auxiliary meeting, 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. If you know someone who is not currently an Auxiliary member, why not invite them as your guest. VETERAN HEALTH CARE & BENEFITS Contact Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency @ 800- MICH-VET (800-642-4838) or dial 211 Hall Rental With the addition of a portable dance floor, 12 Round tables and 48 new chairs, the post is now ready for wedding receptions plus other events. Hall rental fees are $500 plus a $200 refundable deposit for weddings. Regular rentals are $200. There is a 25% discount for Post 150 members, Auxiliary Unit 150 and VFW Post 2725 members You don t need to be a Legion member to rent the Hall. Rentals are open to the public. We already have hall rentals coming up in the next few months for anniversary, parties, weddings, and other occasions.
