The Interim Board together with the Interim Officers has been conducting every-other-month conferences all over Mindanao, having different host in each conference. The aim is to solicit ideas, suggestions, share experiences and involve the brothers and sisters in the planning of future activities of IMΑΦΩ. At present there are more than (20)Twenty Thousand identified ΑΦΩ s in the Mindanao area alone. But much to the organizer s dismay not all of them are active, i.e. have paid their annual dues, has a renewed ΑΦΩ identification cards and does not participate in the activities of the national organization. The goal of IMΑΦΩ is to enjoin all alumni associations in Mindanao to participate in the activities of IMΑΦΩ so as that the problems in their area can be addressed and solved through the unified effort of all alumni associations. The Alpha Phi Omega International Philippines, Incorporated together with the Local City Government of Zamboanga Invites the OPAP (Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines) to conduct a Job Fair in Mindanao. It is a fact that the overseas Filipino workers are the very ones who fuel and propel our country out of economic slumber. Time and time again they have proven that, they are the Page 1

Dollar Factory of the Nation. They are the true heroes of our time. This project is in coordination with the OPAP Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines Chaired by our brother Ernesto E. Salting. The OPAP has 500 member agencies under its umbrella, thus increasing the applicant s work opportunity and chance of landing a job by 500 folds. The Idea is to bring the OPAP s services directly to the people. We aim to provide overseas jobs to our brethrens, minus the high cost and hassles of going to Manila for application. The 1 st JOB fair will be launch in Zamboanga City. Then the OVP-F together with OPAP will be going around the Visayas and Mindanao in order to cater to the people in these areas. For more info visit OPAP s website at www.opap.org.ph 4. The MOTORZ 06 May 20-21, 2006, at the ATENEO de Zamboanga MPCC. The main participants of this activity are the ΑΦΩ collegiate members and some interested Alumni. The NVP-F as one of his executive functions travels all over the country visiting and organizing a leadership training to re-educate our ΑΦΩ collegiate and Alumni members on the current leadership strategies and abreast them on the Projects and activities of the National Council. This has been one of the ongoing projects of the NVP-F and is strategically schedule on the different areas all over the country. OTHER PROJECTS: 1. The NVP-FA will be signing a MOA with the PNRC that our collegiate brothers as well as the alumni will be trained by the PNRC in the fields of Rescue, Emergency and Disaster Management. Although trained by the PNRC the NASAR will be an autonomous organization but can serve together with the PNRC when the need arises. 2. There will be a strategic Leadership training to be conducted in the different administrative regions. The schedule is yet to be arranged with the different Regional Administrative Directors. A campaign, which aims to gather the people s call for peace in our country. This project is coordinated with the Department of Education, The office of the presidential adviser on the peace process, Philippine Postal Corporation, Philippine Information Agency, The National Printing Press, Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. Questionnaires will be distributed to the different Elementary and Secondary schools, the target respondents are the students from grade 4 to 4 th year high school and their parents. As of the moment we have generated 500,000 responses to include those coming from the mountain provinces. The Idea is generate an active involvement of the youth as well their parents most especially those in the War-Torn areas. This project is authored by no less than our National Executive Director, the OVP-FA adopted this project since he has the opportunity of traveling around the country in the quest of materializing his activities in the different administrative areas. For inquiries contact the APO National Executive Director (02)493-7640, OR TELEFAX NO.: (02)293-7603. 5. The ΑΦΩ Jamboree Since ΑΦΩ is rooted in the ideals and doctrines of the Scouting movement. The intention of this activity is to relive our scouting days during elementary and high school and continually live by the scouting spirit even in college. ΑΦΩ Philippines in its 56 years since its foundation has not been able to conduct a Nation-wide ΑΦΩ Jamboree and it is precisely for this reason that NVP-FA wishes to undertake such a momentous activity. This will be a Jamboree to remember, a Jamboree, which will re-enkindle the scouting spirit in the hearts of the ΑΦΩ collegiate and its Alumni. This activity is to be coordinated with the ΑΦΩ Scouting Commission and is tentatively scheduled on December 18-22, 2006. The venue of the event is to be determined as soon as the bidding of its hosting is finish. THE PROPOSAL The NVP-Fraternity admits his incapacity of funding all of these projects but believes in the nobility and the feasibility of the projects he presented. Alpha Phi Omega has long been serving our citizens but the facts tell us that the quality of the project is dependent on the funds generated. It is for this reason that the National Vice-President for Fraternity Bro. Kent Brian C. Tan came up with the ΑΦΩ cares, ΑΦΩ shares Job Fair. The activity can not only help our brethrens but can also generate the needed funds to materialize all of the presented projects as well. But as noble as this intention may be, we have to consider several factors, factors such as the seed fund needed to mobilize the manpower and cover for the expenses to be incurred on the said activity. In lieu of this the NVP-FA would like to ask for financial help and wishes to tie-up with our alumni brothers and sisters and asks them to be his partner in pursuing the projects he has presented. Attached hereto are different options by which our alumni can be of help. Your support would surely ensure the realization of a dream, the dream to make this world a better place for us to live-in and to eternally give the glory due to our beloved Alpha Phi Omega. Page 3

Since the Sponsored amount is deemed very much necessary and of big assistance to the OVP-F in the realization of the programs and activities of the office, the OVP-F will consider the sponsored amount as loan, and promises to pay the sponsor 110% of the sponsored amount plus the benefits stated in the different categories on June 15, 2006.after the NVP-F has accomplished all of his Income Generating Projects. We are looking forward for your positive and most favorable action on this matter. More Power and Long Live Alpha Phi Omega! Yours in SERVICE, Bro. Kent Brian C.
