OVERVIEW As the number of Nurse Practitioners caring for transplant patients continues to increase, their role focusing on acute/ chronic illness with emphasis on preventative maintenance has become vital to the lifelong care of transplant patients and their unique needs. This conference is designed to address the complexities of managing the transplant patient within the scope of practice of the Nurse Practitioner. This year s agenda will include topics in Infectious Risk Exposure, Diabetes, Medication Adherence, Hyperlipidemia HTN, Marijuana in Transplantation, Pharmacology Updates, as well as non-organ specific guidelines for assessment of transplant patients and diagnosis and treatment of common comorbidities and more.
