A five-day workshop focused on the application and interpretation of statistical hierarchical linear and mixed models designed for the analysis of nested data structures. 2012-2013 Intake Coordinator: Figuring it Out for the Child Project PI: James McHale, PhD & Director of the Family Study Center, USF St Petersburg Campus. A retrospective chart review of 84 stable newborn babies born at greater than or equal to 35 week gestational age showed that SSC was equally effective as that of incubator care in stabilizing temperature and respiratory rate at delivery, 24 hours, and 48 hours of birth respectively. 2008-2009 PI: The Mother s Own Milk Pilot Program - March of Dimes Community Grant The goal of this project was to improve breastfeeding compliance of mothers who birthed infants admitted into the NICU. 27 post-partum mothers with high risk pregnancies were enrolled prenatally and assigned a breastfeeding resource nurse that provided antenatal and post-partum breastfeeding support until 30 days post-partum. Over a six month timeframe, 16 of the 27

mothers recruited into the program delivered prematurely. 100% initiated breast pumping. 50% transitioned to breastfeed. Pilot was adopted by the hospital as a standard of care.
