OUR SERVICE AREA Companies, large and small are helping Habitat Brevard build affordable homes. Hard-working, low-income families can purchase these homes. They'll live closer to their jobs, buy locally, pay local taxes and be more productive. That's good for business! v As of the 2010 census, Brevard County is the 10th largest county in Florida. Brevard County stretches from the Palm Bay to Titusville 70 miles! Within the county, Habitat for Humanity Brevard County has served 338 families and counting since 1985. v Habitat homes are sold to Partner Families at no profit and are financed by a 0%-interest mortgage. The mortgage payments create a revolving fund that Habitat uses to construct future homes for local families in need. v Habitat partner families qualify for our program by showing a demonstrated need for improved housing, a willingness to partner with Habitat by committing to 200 hours of sweat equity helping to build their own homes, and the ability to repay the 0%-interest mortgage. v Habitat homes are built with donations of money, materials and labor. v Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County is proud to have partnered with over 8,000 volunteers from individuals to faith based organizations, generous corporate teams and government partners. 2

Habitat for Humanity Brevard County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing by building safe and affordable homes for low-income, hardworking families who cannot qualify for a conventional mortgage. What is the financial commitment? It s up to you! It costs Habitat of Humanity Brevard County an average of $105,000 for the materials necessary to build a home. We offer many different levels which all help us achieve this goal. Who are we building for? In 2017, Habitat for Humanity Brevard County will build 9 homes. Each Habitat partner family pays a zero-interest mortgage, property taxes, and puts in 200 hours of sweat equity labor on Habitat communities before moving into their own home. Habitat of Humanity Brevard County is a hand up, not a hand out. Together we are helping families have a successful future by providing affordable housing to hard-working, local families and individuals. Why should you participate?
