MyLCI New Club Application The Fastest Way to Start a New Club!

District Governor A District Governor supports and authorizes new clubs. As a District Governor, you can: Create an application for a new club Authorize an application and submit to LCI for review Assign Guiding Lions, Extension Award Recipients and Co- Sponsoring Clubs on an application Deny an application from proceeding forward 2

An Application Has 6 Stages 1. Pending Submission 2. Pending District Governor Authorization 3. Pending LCI Authorization 4. Pending Completion 5. Pending LCI Final Approval 6. Approved 3

District Governor Application Stages: Pending Submission The creation of a new club application starts with this stage Pending District Governor Authorization This is the second stage of an application The District Governor must authorize the application in order to move it to the next stage An application can also be denied by the District Governor during this stage Pending Completion The District Governor can assign Guiding Lions, Extension Award Recipients and Co-Sponsoring Clubs during this stage 4

Create a New Club 1. On the Lions Club International website, select MyLCI 5

Create a New Club 2. On the Welcome to the MyLCI Logon Page, type your User Name and Password and click Submit 6

Create a New Club 3. From the MyLCI Home Page, select Clubs from the My District dropdown menu 7

Create a New Club 4. On the District Clubs page, click Add Club 8

Create a New Club 5. The New Club Application appears The application begins in the Pending Submission stage. The application is made up of 6 simple sections: 1. New Club Information 2. Sponsoring Club 3. New Club Officers 4. Estimate of Charter Members 5. Club Criteria/Submit 6. Comments 9

Section 1 New Club Information 1. Section 2 Sponsoring Club 1. Select the Sponsoring Club 11

Section 3 New Club Officers 1. Enter the New Club President and New Club Secretary information At least one officer is required in order move the application forward All fields are required for an officer to be added to the application A duplicate check of existing members occurs and warnings will appear if active members are attempted to be entered 12

Section 4 Estimate of Charter Members 1. Enter the charter member counts based on Membership Types expected for the new club Note that the Charter Fee shows based on the membership types entered 13

Section 5 Club Criteria/Submit 1. Check the box indicating that the New Club Criteria has been read Select the New Club Criteria Form link to display a pdf of the New Club Criteria 2. Check the box indicating the application is ready to be submitted to the District Governor for authorization 3. Select Save 14

New Club Application Confirmation 1. A Confirmation page will display indicating that the new club application has been submitted to the District Governor for authorization At this time a notification email is sent to the District Governor with copies sent to the Sponsoring Club President and Secretary A task is created for the District Governor and will display in the My Task panel on the MyLCI Home page 15

Viewing a Saved Application The District Governor must now review the application and either authorize or deny the new club from proceeding. There are 2 ways to view a saved application: 1. Navigate via the My District menu 2. Use the My Tasks panel 16

Pending District Governor Authorization 1. Check the box indicating that the New Club Criteria has been read 2. Check the box indicating authorization and that the application is ready to be submitted to LCI 3. Select Save 22

Pending LCI Authorization 1. A Confirmation page will display indicating that the new club application has been submitted to LCI At this time a notification email is sent to LCI with copies sent to the District Governor and the Sponsoring Club President and Secretary 23

Pending Completion 1. Once LCI Authorizes the application, it moves to the Pending Completion stage 2. Email notifications are sent to: District Governor, Sponsoring Club Officers and New Club Officers 3. During the Pending Completion stage: The District Governor can enter Guiding Lions, Extension Award Recipients and Co-Sponsoring Clubs Use the My District menu to access the application as shown in previous slides for navigation 24

Pending Completion Submit for Final Approval 1. Check the box indicating that the New Club Criteria has been read. New Club Presidents and Secretaries will be checking this for the first time. 2. Check the box indicating the application is ready to be submitted to LCI 3. Select Save 25

Pending LCI Final Approval 1. A Confirmation page will display indicating: 1. The application has been submitted to LCI 2. The Total Charter Fee due 3. An invoice for the Total Charter Fee was emailed 4. Full payment is required for final approval At this time a notification email is sent to LCI with copies sent to the District Governor, the Sponsoring Club Officers and the New Club Officers 26

Newly Chartered Club! 1. Upon LCI Approval, the application moves to Approved status and the club becomes a Newly Chartered Club. At this time a notification email is sent to the District Governor, the Sponsoring Club Officers and the New Club Officers 27
