! 1 Texas A&M University-Commerce Art Department Scholarship Information All applications for Scholarships are due by Wednesday, October 31, 2018, by noon. Daniel Lloyd Ross Memorial Endowment Recipients shall be majoring in the visual arts. Such students must have a minimum letter GPA of a B in all art courses completed at the time of the scholarship and judged to be talented and dedicated students of the arts. June Kidder Memorial Endowment No specific criteria -- Recipients must be art majors. John & Phyllis Carrier Scholarship Fund 1. Recipient shall be an art major, to include photography 2. Scholarship recipient shall receive $100 per academic year from scholarship 3. Dr. or Mrs. Carrier will review applications and offer input to the Art Department scholarship committee in selecting the recipient. Harry & Virginia Fullwood Art Endowment For students majoring in the area of communication arts. Kodak Professional Imaging Endowment Recipient shall be a full-time still photography major and have completed at least one full year of college work and have at least one full year of work left before graduation. Patrick F. Cochran Memorial Endowment No specified criteria -- photography majors Willa Kay Fall Trust Endowment 1. For art majors who intend to make some form of art his/her profession 2. Preference given to financial need 3. Student who has shown promising talent. Third Floor Photographic Society Fund 1. The student must be a declared photo major with at least one year left in school. Entering freshman or transfer students are eligible at the discretion of the photography faculty and available funds. 2. Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Photography 3. Recipient must submit a portfolio of no less than 5 and no more than 10 images for review. 4. Service to the photography program will be considered. 5. Membership in the Third Floor Photo society will be considered, but is not mandatory. Johnson/Talley 3rd Floor Memorial Endowment No specific criteria -- students majoring in photography. This memorial endowment established with the intent of remembering not only Matthew Johnson & Paul Talley, but to include: Nell Blakely, Walter D'ellesandri, MaryAnne Fittipaldi, Hal Fulgham, Bob Gray, Eric Peterson and other faculty, staff and students associated with the photography division of Texas A&M University-Commerce.
In addition to these named scholarships the Art Department will annually offer approximately $2,000 in scholarships funded by Art Department fundraising efforts. Amounts of endowed Scholarships will not be announced until awarded. Continued on Page 2! 2
