Ternus will be attending the Sixth Judicial District Fourth Annual Awards Ceremony, honoring the recipients of various awards for excellence and dedicated service. The ceremony will take place on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 4-B at the Linn County Courthouse. The awards include Distinguished Service, Employee of the Year, Public Service, Teamwork, Friend of the Court and Dedicated Service. UPCOMING CLE The Kirkwood Foundation is pleased to host a half-day continuing education seminar featuring Vaughn Henry of Henry & Associates. The committee that reviews requests for these funds uses the following guideline to determine which organizations will receive funding: The funds will be used to advance the efforts of the legal profession, assist those in need of legal services, or provide intervention or educational services to assist those who might be at risk to become involved adversely in the legal system. The purpose of the program is to recognize exemplary public service by court personnel and to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the administration of justice by persons who are not members of the court system.
