Cyberport Network Incubation Programme Extending Local and Overseas Startups Business Network

Introduction Hong Kong Cyberport Network Incubation Programme (the programme) is the first programme of its kind offered by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport). The programme was setup with the objective of supporting the readily start-up companies from overseas to explore business with Cyberport incubatees and to extend their businesses in the Asian region especially in Hong Kong. In light of the emerging new marketplace in the digital economy, the programme aims to extend the business networking opportunities among local and overseas incubatees to further exchange their ideas and explore the market opportunities. Benefits The Network Incubatee company is sponsored by Cyberport to attend events including exhibition, seminar or training in Hong Kong which is organized by or co-organized by Cyberport. In addition, the Network Incubatee company could enjoy financial subsidy from Cyberport by utilizing the facilities and serices at Cyberport Technology Centre. The maximum amount of the financial assistance is HK$30,000 for each Network Incubatee company during the 24-month incubation period.

Funding Scheme The Network Incubatee companies may reimburse 75% of the following items with total maximum amount up to HK$15,000 per event per person (maximum 2 senior executives i.e. founders, co-founders or partners from each network incubatee company for each event) during his / her visit to Hong Kong: Returned economy class air tickets from the origin country to Hong Kong plus local land transportation between airport and hotel; Cyberport organized or co-organized event registration fee; Hotel accommodation expenses incurred at Le Meridien Cyberport Hong Kong on room rate including breakfast plus tax only. This benefit is subject to the room availability; Production fees in utilizing the facilities and services at the Technology Centre of Cyberport. The Network Incubatee companies are entitled to use the facilities of the Entrepreneurship Centre, including the meeting rooms, Microsoft BizSpark Room, Solution Lab, Demonstration Area and Pantry during visit to the Centre. ** All the above benefit is subject to the Centre s pre-approval and subject to change without prior notice.

How to Apply If you want to apply for the Network Incubation Programme, your company must be an overseas registered SME company, which refers to company with staff number under 50 people, with no physical presence in Hong Kong and being endorsed and nominated by Cyberport Network Incubation Programme s existing partners (please see Cyberport official website at http://networkpartner.cyberport.hk about Cyberport Network Incubation Programme Partner List) for Cyberport s consideration. The applicant must meet ALL of the following admission criteria: Must be a registered company outside of Hong Kong; Must be in ICT industry which develops one of the following products/projects: Digital Entertainment Cloud Computing Creative Digital Lifestyle Emerging Internet & Web 3.0 Applications Mobile Application(s) Edu/Infortainment The applicant should read through the Guides and Notes to Applicants and filled in the Application Form to be submitted to: ecentre@cyberport.hk

Admission Procedures On the date of the result announcement, the applicant shall receive the result through email notification by Cyberport Entrepreneurship Centre. The list of successful applicants will also be posted on the website of HKCMCL. Successful applicant shall email reply to confirm the acceptance of the offer for admission to the Cyberport Incubation Programme (Network Incubation). Successful applicants are required to sign an agreement as proof of their acceptance of the terms and conditions of admission into the Cyberport Network Incubation Programme.
