SCHLUMBERGER Merit Badge Fair Spring 2018 WHEN: SATURDAY, April 21, 2018 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. Troop check-in at 7:30 am. Classes begin at 8:00 am. Lunch is in two sessions 12:00 12:30 & 12:30 1:00 pm. WHERE: Schlumberger Sugar Land Campus - Forum Lunch: Pizza and drinks. Restricted diets, please bring your own lunch There is no cost for lunch or classes. DRESS: FIELD UNIFORM IS REQUIRED! REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required and accepted through March 26, 2018. Scouts must register through a Schlumberger Employee. Schlumberger Employee sponsor is responsible for making sure registrations are received and providing communications back to the Troop. Only COMPLETED Troop and Scout registration forms will accepted. Signatures and adult volunteer names MUST BE INCLUDED. Forms will be prioritized on a first come/first serve based on email registration. IMPORTANT PROCEDURES - READ CAREFULLY! 1. Class assignments will NOT be sent to an individual scout. The Schlumberger Employee Sponsor will be notified of class assignments. Scouts will take one or two classes. Plan on the scout taking the class they select. The Employee sponsor will communicate to the unit if they will not be able to take the class selected. NO Walk-Ins. PLEASE do not show up the day of the Fair to see "What's available?" NO EXCEPTIONS! 2. The number of Scouts per merit badge class will be limited to better teach and complete the badge work. Because of this limit, no scout will be added after the registration deadline. 3. Each scout is required to read the Merit Badge book, WHICH MUST BE READ BEFORE THE CLASS. 4. Each scout is required to bring the Merit Badge Book BLUE MERIT BADGE CARD, signed by their Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster. 5. All classes will end at or about the same time; therefore, Scouts will be escorted back to The Forum when class concludes. Roaming of the halls will NOT be allowed. 6. NO scout should leave without checking with an adult volunteer from his troop & registration. Adults must come into the building to pick-up their scout. Scouts will not be allowed to leave unescorted. 7. If a scout is unable to attend once registered. Please contact your Schlumberger Employee sponsor. 8. Registration for classes will be assigned to the Scouts with the highest rank first. NOTE: Scouts who have not read the merit badge book and are not prepared for the class may be asked to leave the class. Scouts that do not behave appropriately in class will be asked to leave.

No Walk-Ins. Scouts sponsored by Schlumberger Employees or Schlumberger Employees active with a Boy Scout Troop. Schlumberger Sugar Land Campus, 210 Schlumberger Drive, Sugar Land, TX 77478 Scouts will work on two merit badges, except for those marked by * which are all day classes, with counselors and other Scouts. Classes marked by + require Scouts be First Class or above. 12:00-12:30 and 12:30-1:00pm - Pizza and drinks will be served. Vegetable pizza will be available. If on a restricted diet, please bring your own lunch. Class A uniform is REQUIRED for admission to fair. No exceptions! Prerequisites are listed on the last page of this form. Any scout who does not complete the Prerequisites will receive a partial merit badge. REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is necessary and is accepted through Monday, March 26, 2018. Registration must be submitted through a Schlumberger employee. Scouts will be registered on a first come/first served based on email registration. Registration forms will be accepted only when filled out completely; including signatures.

A Scout deemed a behavior problem by the Counselor will NOT earn ANY credit for the class. I will ensure my Scout completes the prerequisites for his assigned classes. Communications Complete questions 1 and 2, and identify and research a topic to be used to prepare a five minute presentation (question 5). Not completed in class 5, 7, 8, 9. Either drop off Scouts at the Forum, 210 Schlumberger Dr. or park in the garage off Gillingham Lane and proceed under the covered walkway to the Forum. (see attached map) 2. Check the rosters posted in the Forum windows to verify your first class. 3. Proceed to the registration table for your morning class and check in. 4. Wait in line behind the sign for your morning class to the opening ceremony.
