April 6, 2015 Vol. 32 Presidents Message Glen Bailey Aloha Honolulu Sunset Rotarians, I'm excited! Since our last meeting our club led a Rotary Days/Rotarians at Work project on Saturday March 28th at the homeless US VETS facility at Barbers Point. Seventy (70) Rotarians from seven Oahu Rotary Clubs participated as $3,500 was raised and spent on needed items, over 650 clothing items were collected, a fun luncheon put on for the 110 US Homeless VETS, and much needed upgrades to their facilities were completed. Sixteen of our members led by Mary Whitworth, Dave Talbert, Jane Brown, and others worked to put on this major project that benefited US Homeless VETS. Our guest speaker this week will be Rotary 5000 Assistant Governor "Clint Schroeder" who will give a presentation on his trip to India to participate in Polio Plus. Our year long membership drive is still going on and I encourage you to bring a prospective new member to our meeting Monday. See you Monday, April 6th.
