ESMD Senior Design Course Development Senior Design Courses with emphasis on NASA Systems Engineering: courses in pilot test phase, available to implement in AY 09/0: Auburn University: Dr. David Beale & Dr. Dan Harris: Lunar Regolith Excavator. lectures on systems engineering, less classroom time. NASA Technical Expert at KSC Michigan Technological University: Dr. John Gershenson: High-risk, low cost development projects like those common to the Small Spacecraft Program. 6 lectures on systems engineering, more classroom time. NASA Technical Expert at ARC course in development phase, available to implement in AY 0/ Utah State University: Dr. Stephen A. Whitmore: Design and Testing of a Demonstration Prototype for a Lunar Lander Training/Research Vehicle (LLT/RV). NASA Technical Expert at DFRC
ESMD Senior Design Course Faculty training for one day at KSC in May 009 Date TBD trying to plan during Shuttle launch timeframe Travel expenses up to $800 for one faculty member from each Consortia that chose to implement the Senior Design Course in AY 09/0 Registration required for planning purposes No registration fee More details to come Topics Auburn University: Dr. David Beale & Dr. Dan Harris: Lunar Regolith Excavator. lectures on systems engineering, less classroom time.
