GOLD STANDARD 2018 CONFERENCE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES GROW TO ZERO 2018: SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR A PROSPEROUS PLANET Net-zero emissions No poverty Zero hunger Zero loss of biodiversity No waste Good health Clean water Gender equality Good jobs and growth Quality education It happens 18-19 April 2018. Berlin, Germany. We have two years to change the trajectory of global emissions to have a chance to meet the ambition of the Paris Agreement. Where are we on the path to decarbonisation? The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a $12 trillion opportunity for business. But last year s stock-take indicated the need for major investments in the near-term to accelerate progress to meet targets by 2030. How can we ramp up action? How can business come together with government and civil society to create win-win-win scenarios? Grow to Zero is centred on practical solutions. Sustainability professionals will learn about new programs to gain climate leadership positions while delivering toward the SDGs Investors will hear about new ways to reduce risk in climate-friendly projects and report holistically on SDG impact Developers of climate protection projects can deepen their understanding about policy developments that influence their projects, build technical capacity, and connect with new partners to support their work Everyone will find opportunities to network and launch new ideas, solutions, and collaborations

DRAFT PROGRAMME DAY 1 (Note: all programme details subject to change without notification) 18 APRIL 8:00 9:15 am Welcome breakfast and networking 9:15 9:25 Welcome from Gold Standard KEYNOTES: TAKING STOCK 9:25 9:40 Planetary boundaries: How are we managing the limits of our natural systems? What does science tell us about the challenges upon us? This opening keynote sets the stage for what we need to do to transform our economy to a new logic, with a focus on the most pressing risks and long term targets. 9:40 9:55 Political will--or will not? Who is leading and lagging and key milestones to meet by 2020 What is the trajectory based on current commitments? Who are the leaders and laggards, and why? How are countries taking the Sustainable Development Goals into consideration? This session will answer these questions and highlight what needs to happen to get us on course for well below 2-degrees and deliver on the 2030 Agenda for Development. 9:55 10:10 Business taking action: Transformative change How is business responding to the challenges scientists have outlined? This keynote will address how some leaders are turning challenges into opportunity and will highlight the catalytic potential for systems-based change, with examples across different sectors. 10:10 10:40 BREAK: speed networking PANEL DISCUSSIONS: SECTORAL SOLUTIONS 10:40 11:25 Environmental markets What role in the transition to zero carbon? Market-based mechanisms have helped reduce GHG emissions at lower costs. The Paris Agreement increases the need for markets to contribute to the transition to zero-carbon by mid-century, but structural changes create a more
complex landscape to ensure environmental integrity. This session will explore challenges and solutions to shape robust mechanisms and ensure the right incentives to maximise voluntary action. 11:25 12:05 Investor shift to impact: Real change or window dressing? We hear that investors are demanding more disclosure about sustainabilityrelated risks. But is recent momentum enough to shift the trillions to clean development? This panel discussion will explore new initiatives including the TCFD, financial instruments like green bonds, and trends in impact investing to assess whether these are leading to real change in financial markets and how they could be truly transformative. 12:05 12:50 Sustainable land use + sourcing Agriculture is rising on the climate change agenda in both mitigation and adaptation and is inexorably linked to a great number of Sustainable Development Goals. This panel will explore how companies are engaging in collective action in their supply chains with a goal to integrate climate and development outcomes and how new technologies can accelerate progress. 12:50 2:00 LUNCH REDEFINING LEADERSHIP 2:00 2:10 10 minute slot for Gold sponsor 2:10 2:55 Corporate climate leadership Expectations for business resposibility are increasing beyond direct operations through their value chains and areas of influence.
