PACU PARAGRAPHS CAPANA September 2009 Editor: Chris Stone CINCINNATI AREA PERIANESTHESIA NURSE S ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT S MESSAGE JANET FRICKER RN, BSN CPAN CLIII Welcome to CAPANA CEU offerings for 2009-2010. I m very honored to be apart of this great organization. I did question my sanity these past few months organizing the workshops and coordinating the people, places and what not, to make this year (hopefully) as great as the past years have been. Having a 10-year-old daughter and trying to relate to her and her interests, I heard a song by a very popular teen pop singer. The song is called The Climb. The words really reflect upon us as healthcare professionals, how we face the unique challenges of today. It s not about reaching the top; it s the challenge of the climb. We have much diversity we must face in order to get to the top. Once we reach the top we seem to feel the need to find another challenge to undertake and thus start The Climb again. So thank you for this CLIMB. I hope that you will continue to be apart of CAPANA for all our future CLIMBS.
