PYXIS Helpful Hints Once the Registration for PYXIS access is completed either on line (students) or via papercopy (Instructors), there is a time lapse before the information is in the system and you can BIOID. Registration by Instructors and students should be completed at least two weeks before your clinical practice. This will ensure that you are in the system when it is time to BIO-ID on your first day of clinical. o If a student has already registered online during one of their other clinical experiences, they do not need to register online again. However, if they have had a name change or graduation date change, follow the instructions in the Student Registration section regarding completion and submission of the appropriate forms. This should be done at least two weeks in advance to ensure the students updated information is in the system for BIO-ID on orientation day. o When you complete your BIO-ID, be certain to remember your user login, password, and the finger that you used to create your electronic fingerprint. This will prevent login issues in the future. Remind your students to remember this information as well.
