We have implemented a social responsibility programme in Durban and we have an ongoing commitment with The Durban Chamber of Commerce and the Ethekweni Municipality to take on unemployed learners and empower them with basic skills in carpentry and joinery. 90% of our current staff compliment were previously unemployed citizens of Durban. We are a diverse business specializing in Bespoke Joinery and Shopfitting, Ceilings & Partitions, Interior Decoration, Refurbishment and Building Works with a CIDB grading of 7GBPE and Civil Works 7CEPE. CV Projects can confidently offer quality and professional service to Government Parastatals, the Construction and Property Development Industry as well as the Residential and Commercial market. CV Projects has recently diversified into the manufacture of Mobile Classrooms, Mobile Clinics, Mobile Offices and Chemical Toilets. Our manufacturing wing, which has been focused on the manufacture of Joinery and bespoke Shopfitting for over 16 years, has been complimented by the addition of these products. After identifying temporary accommodation as a niche market need in South Africa and Africa we decided to pursue all avenues of this market given the fact that our established infrastructure supports the manufacturing and distribution of these products. As a part of our social outreach programme, we recently donated a classroom to a school in need. The department of education welcomed this gesture and we hope that we can endeavor to support more of these programmes in the future.

Empowerment C & R Shopfitters & Joiners, Zulu Mnguni Enterprises and CTI Projects was established as empowered companies affiliated with CV Projects. As a significant part of their empowerment programme, CV Projects is committed to empowering staff that would otherwise never have the opportunity to become successful entrepreneurs. With this as the motivating factor, the management of CV Projects approached budding staff members who showed great potential to set up Zulu Mnguni Enterprises and CTI Projects. Zulu Mnguni Enterprises and CTI Projects owned by previously disadvantaged staff of CV Projects have entered into an agreement with CV Projects to be independent contractors to the company as opposed to employees. The success of this goal is driven by an intensive training process to which both parties are committed. The empowered companies are assisted with their finances and monitored by a third party administrator to aid them succeed with this venture. This has proved to be a positive step for CTI Projects and C & R Shopfitters as they are now able to stand on their own feet and are successfully trading independently. Zulu Mnguni Enterprises still remain and feel secure being affiliated with C V Projects.
