PharmaClik Rx Enhancements PharmaClik Rx enhancements have been made in order to improve your workflow processes and make your day to day tasks as seamless as possible. Patient Profile Image The Patient Profile Image feature allows you to add an image to a patient s profile in PharmaClik Rx, allowing you to easily identify a patient when dispensing medications and/or conducting consultations. This feature enhances patient care and security. Enabling Patient Profile Image Feature To turn on the Patient Profile Image feature, do the following: 1. Select More > Pharmacy. 2. Select the Patient tab. 3. Select the Patient Image checkbox, located in the General section. 4. Select the Save button. NOTE: If you disable the Patient Image feature and re-enable the Patient Image feature in the future, any images previously saved to patient profiles will reappear. 2015. Adding/Changing Patient Profile Image To add or change the patient profile image in the Patient Folder, do the following: 1. Search for and select a patient. 2. Select the patient image icon. The Patient Image window opens. 3. Select one of the following buttons: Browse: i. If you have the image saved locally on your computer, select the Browse button. The Select Attachment window opens. ii. Navigate to the folder that contains the image file you wish to attach to the patient s profile. NOTE: You can only select image files of the following type: jpeg, png, tiff, bitmap. iii. Select the Open button. The image appears in the View Patient Image window. Scan: i. If you have the patient s image (i.e. health card) that you wish to use as their profile image, place the image in the scanner and select the Scan button on the scanner. The image appears on your screen. NOTE: The Scan button will only be enabled if you have a scanner attached to your computer. 4. Adjust the image accordingly (i.e. brightness, contrast, etc.). 5. Editing a Patient Profile Image If you already applied an image to a patient s profile, but wish to adjust the properties (i.e. brightness, contrast, etc.) you can do so from the Patient Folder. 1. Search for and select a patient. 2. Select the patient image icon. The View Patient Image window opens. 3. Use the following buttons/ fields to adjust the image: Brightness Contrast Flip Mirror Crop Rotate 4. Select the OK button. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 6 of 48

Deleting a Patient Profile Image If a patient no longer wishes to have their image on file on their patient profile, you can remove it from PharmaClik Rx. NOTE: Deleting the image following the instructions below will only remove the image from PharmaClik Rx. If you have the image saved locally on your computer (i.e. in your My Pictures folder) you must delete the photo from this location manually. 1. Search for and select a patient. 2. Select the patient image icon. The View Patient Picture window opens. 3. Select the Remove button. A validation prompt appears to confirm the deletion. 4. Select the Yes button. 5. Adding Rx Barcode to Drug Record Book Report Users have the ability to add a barcode to each prescription on the Drug Record Report, allowing them to scan and attach the Drug Record Book to the specific patient and prescription rather than the entire batch, as shown in the sample Drug Record Book report below. To turn on the barcode feature for the Drug Record Book report, do the following: 1. Select More > Reports. 2. Select the Drug Record Book report. 3. Select the Next button. 4. From the Extended section, ensure the following checkboxes are selected: a. Pharmacy Copy b. Patient per Page c. Print Rx Barcode NOTE: The Rx barcode feature is only enabled for the Pharmacy Copy of the report. This feature will be disabled for the Facility Copy of the report. 5. Enter all other criteria for your report. 6. Select the Print or Preview button. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 8 of 48

Alberta Only: Authorized Prescribing Authority Qualification Validation In Alberta, it is mandatory that pharmacists bill for special services (such as prescription adaptation, medication reviews, etc.) according to their Authorized Prescribing Authority (APA) qualification. When filling out the appropriate forms for billing, users will no longer see duplicate selections from the dropdown menu (i.e. APA vs Non-APA options). PharmaClik Rx will automatically display the appropriate selections (i.e. all APA options, or all Non-APA options) based on the pharmacist s APA qualification, as indicated in More > Pharmacy. To indicate a pharmacist has APA qualification, do the following: 1. Select More > Pharmacy. 2. Select the Security button. 3. Select the Additional Prescribing Authority checkbox located at the bottom. 4. Select the Save button. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 9 of 48

Pre-populated Comments When completing an adaptation or medication review, users will have the ability to select from a list of pre-populated, commonly used comments, rather than typing them out manually. Selecting Pre-Populated Comments in the Adaptation Form To select from these pre-populated comments in the Adaptation Form, do the following: 1. Select Rx > Services > Adaptation. 2. Search for and select the prescription you wish to adapt. The Adaptation Form window opens. 3. Select the magnifying glass button next to the Info from the Pharmacist field. 4. Select the comments you wish to add and select the OK button. 5. Continue adapting the prescription as per normal process. Selecting Pre-Populated Comments in the Medication Review Form To select from these pre-populated comments in the Medication Review Form, do the following: 1. Select Rx > Services > Medication Review. 2. Search for and select the patient you wish to conduct a medication review for. The Medication Review window opens. 3. Select the Medication Record tab. 4. Select the magnifying glass button next to the Pharmacist Comments field. 5. Select the comments you wish to add and select the OK button. 6. Adding Additional Pre-Populated Comments Users will also have the ability to add additional, custom comments to the list. They will also have the option to customize whether the custom added comment is for the Adaptation Form, or the Medication Review Form. To add additional comments to your list of pre-populated comments, do the following: 1. Select More > List Maint. 2. Search for and select Pharmacist Comments from the dropdown menu. 3. If the comment already exists in the list then select the checkbox for which service you would like the comment to be visible in (i.e. Med Review and/or Adaptation) and continue to Step 7. 4. If the comment does not already exist in the list, then select the Add button. A new row appears. 5. Enter in a Code and Description for your comment. NOTE: The custom flag will automatically be flagged. This flag will help you identify which comments you have added in and which ones existed previously within PharmaClik Rx. You can only delete custom comments. 6. Select the checkbox for the service you would like the comment to be visible in (i.e. Med Review and/or Adaptation). 7. Select the OK button. 2015. Adaptation Form Enhancements Adding Consent to the Adaptation Form The Adaptation Form will now have a consent dialogue, allowing the pharmacist to document who (patient or their representative) they provided details to regarding the risks and benefits associated with the adaptation. When consent is entered, the generated Adaptation Form that prints will display a disclosure statement at the bottom of the form, as shown below: NOTE: Entering consent in this dialogue is mandatory for all pharmacies in British Columbia and optional for all other provinces. 1. Select Rx > Services > Adaptation. 2. Search for and select the prescription you wish to adapt. The Adaptation Form window opens. 3. Select the Consent button. The Adaptation Consent window opens. 4. Select either the Patient or Representative button. NOTE: If you select Representative, you can type in the name of the representative, or you can search for and select another patient that exists locally in PharmaClik Rx. 5. Select the OK button. 6. Enter all other information in the form for the adaptation (i.e. Reason, Info From the Pharmacist etc.). 7. Select the Print or Fax button. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 12 of 48

Copying Adaptation Comments to Multiple Prescriptions If multiple prescriptions are highlighted prior to selecting Rx > Services > Adaptation, then any text entered in the Information from Pharmacist field will be auto-populated in the same field for the other prescriptions when Print or Fax is selected. To copy your adaptation comments to multiple prescriptions, do the following: 1. Highlight all of the prescriptions you wish to adapt and wish to copy comments over to. 2. Select Rx > Services > Adaptation. 3. Enter in comments in the Info From the Pharmacist field. 4. Select the Print or Fax button. The comments will automatically be copied over to the other prescriptions you had highlighted in Step 1. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 13 of 48

Custom MAR Pharmacies will now have the ability to provide a customizable Medication Administration Record (MAR) that can be tailored to the specific wants and needs of any nursing home or longterm care (LTC) facility. This report can be generated for any non-retail prescription and will list all prescriptions that are flagged as active on a patient s profile in PharmaClik Rx. NOTE: The Custom MAR report is for non-retail group patients only. Custom MAR Settings Providing Users Access to Custom MAR The administrator user has the ability to provide access to users to the Custom MAR report selection criteria to create and manage Custom MAR reports. 1. Log into PharmaClik Rx as the administrator. 2. Select More > Pharmacy. 3. Select the Security button. 4. Highlight the user you wish to provide MAR Custom report access. 5. Select the MAR Custom checkbox from the Report Description section. 6. Select the OK button. 2015. McKesson Canada, All rights reserved. Page 14 of 48

Setting Printer Preferences for Custom MAR You can modify the printer settings from two locations: the Pharmacy settings, or from List Maintenance. The printer settings you can modify include: Default printer Default tray Default paper Prompt for printing (i.e. printing certain pages) To modify the printer settings from the Pharmacy settings, do the following: 1. Select More > Pharmacy. 2. Select the System tab. 3. Modify the printer settings for the report MAR Custom (i.e. default printer, tray, etc.). 4. Select the Save button. To modify the printer settings from List Maintenance, do the following: 1. Select More > List Maint. 2. Search for and select Reports from the dropdown list. The Select Default Printer window opens. 3. Modify the printer settings for the report MAR Custom (i.e. default printer, tray, etc.). 4. Select the OK button. 2015. Creating a Custom MAR 1. Select More > Reports. 2. Select the MAR Custom report: All Reports > MAR Custom Groups > MAR Custom 3. Select the Next button. 4. Highlight the New Custom MAR report and select one of the following (both options take you to the Criteria tab): The Next button The Criteria tab CRITERIA TAB: 5. If you wish to run your Custom MAR based on a certain # of days (i.e. 7 days), then you must enter the start date, and enter the number of days in the Days field. Scheduling a Custom MAR Once you have created and saved a Custom MAR, you can schedule it to run automatically and have a copy printed out, ready for you to send to the Long Term Care facility. To schedule your Custom MAR, do the following: 1. Select More > Reports. 2. Select the MAR Custom report: All Reports > MAR Custom Groups > MAR Custom 3. Select the Next button. 4. Select your saved Custom MAR from the Saved Reports tab. 5. Select the Schedule button. The Report Scheduler Wizard opens. Choose a Schedule Report Frequency. 6. Select how often you would like the report to run. 7. Select the Next button. 8. The Report Schedule Timing window opens. For Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly frequencies highlight a day on the left side of the window. Select date of when the report is expected to run. 9. Enter in the following details for when you would like the saved Custom MAR to be generated: Time: If required, change the Time. First Date: Enter the First Date that the report will be generated. This date should fall on the same day of the month that you just highlighted. Last Date: Enter the Last Date that the report will be generated. This field is optional. Select the MAR Custom report: All Reports > MAR Custom Groups > MAR Custom 3. Select the Next button. 4. Deleting a Custom MAR If you saved a Custom MAR that your pharmacy no longer wishes to use, you can delete it from your MAR Custom > Saved Reports tab. Deleting a Saved Custom MAR To delete a saved Custom MAR, do the following: 1. Select More > Reports. 2. Select the MAR Custom report: All Reports > MAR Custom Groups > MAR Custom 3. Select the Next button. 4. Select the Custom MAR report you wish to delete. 5. Right-click the highlighted Custom MAR Report and select the Delete option. A validation prompt will appear. 6. Select the Yes button. NOTE: Deleting the Custom MAR will also delete any scheduled print runs associated with that particular report. Deleting a Scheduled print of a Custom MAR To delete a scheduled print run assigned to a Custom MAR, do the following: 1. Select More > Reports. 2. Select the Scheduled section of the Select a Report Window of PharmaClik Rx Reports. 3. Select the scheduled report you wish to delete. 4. Right-click the highlighted report and select the Delete option. A validation prompt will appear. NOTE: You can delete active and inactive scheduled reports. 5. Select the Yes button. Flagging Prescriptions as PRN The Custom MAR allows you to customize how the report prints, including customizations that are specific to PRN prescriptions. In order to take advantage of PRN customization on the Custom MAR, you must ensure the PRN checkbox is selected for all PRN prescriptions. To flag the PRN checkbox for a prescription, do the following: 1. Open the incomplete prescription in RX Detail. 2. Select the Extended tab. 3. Select the PRN checkbox. 4. Continue filling the prescription, as per normal process. NOTE: If you include the PRN code in your SIG, the PRN checkbox is automatically checked in the Extended tab of the prescription. Medication Review Settings Medication Review (MR) Enhancements: From the Medication Review Settings you can modify who has access as well as indicate your pharmacy and user preferences for the medication review. Providing Users Access to Patient Centre All authentication for the MR has been moved from the Housekeeping checkbox to the Patient Centre Access checkbox. In order for a user to have access to the MR, this checkbox must be selected. To provide user access to Medication Review, do the following: 1. More > Pharmacy > Security. 2. Highlight a user. 3. Select the Patient Centre Access checkbox located in the Access section. 4. Select the OK button. If a technician user has Patient Centre Access, then upon logging on to the Medication Review they must select a pharmacist to link their login to. Patient Centre Workbench The Patient Centre Workbench will contain 2 tabs: Activities tab (previously known as the To Do tab) and Pending tab. The Pending tab will be further subdivided in to two tabs: To Do Status tab and In Process Status tab. The To Do Status tab will only contain reviews that were deferred and the In Process Status tab will contain reviews that were saved. The Workbench will also contain a Search toolbar, allowing you to search the tabs for medication reviews that were scheduled, deferred, or saved. As you type your search criteria in the Search toolbar, only the medication reviews that meet your criteria will remain visible on the Workbench. Launching the Patient Centre Workbench To launch the Patient Centre Workbench, do the following: 1. From the PharmaClik Rx Workbench, select the Prescriptions tab. 2. NOTE: If you have any medication reviews pending to be completed (in your To Do tab), then this icon will have a notification to indicate the number of reviews in the To Do tab. 3. Select the Workbench button. The Patient Centre Workbench opens. NOTE: If your preference for Suppress Med Review Login is set to No, then you will be prompted to log into the medication review first, then be redirected to the Workbench. 4. Navigate between the Activities tab and the Pending tab. The Pending tab will be further subdivided in to two tabs: To Do Status tab and In Process Status tab. Removing a Medication Review from the Patient Centre Workbench If you have deferred or saved a medication review, it will appear on the Patient Centre Workbench under the Pending tab. If you no longer wish to continue with the medication review (i.e. patient cannot make their appointment, or patient changes their mind, etc.), then you can remove the medication review from the Workbench. To remove a deferred or saved medication review from the Patient Centre Workbench, do the following: 1. Launch the Patient Centre Workbench. 2. Search for and select the medication review you wish to delete. 3. Select the checkbox next to the patient name. 4. Select the Remove button located at the bottom of the window. Printing a Medication Review Invitation Letter When a patient is eligible for a medication review and your pharmacy has the Patient Eligibility prompts feature turned on, you can select the prompt and choose to print a medication review invitation letter, inviting your patient to reap the benefits of a review. Deferring a Medication Review When a patient is eligible for a medication review and your pharmacy has the Patient Eligibility prompts feature turned on, you can action the prompt and choose to defer the medication review until a later date/time. If you defer a medication review and do not do anything for 15-30 days (depending on your preferences set in More > Pharmacy > Services), then the medication review will be removed from the Pending tab and PharmaClik Rx will continue to prompt you of the patient s eligibility. Launching a Medication Review If a patient is in your pharmacy and wishes to complete a medication review right then, you can launch their medication review immediately from the Prescriptions tab and the Eligibility Prompt. Completing a Medication Review Once you have launched the medication review, you can begin completing your review with your patient. The enhancements below will make completing the review as seamless as possible. Viewing Condensed/ Detailed View of Medications In the Medication Record tab, you can now expand and condense the information displayed for each prescription listed. This will allow the pharmacist conducting the review to select which prescriptions they would like to see more information for, and which they do not. NOTE: You can only expand and condense the information displayed for each prescription when in the Condense view in the Medication Record tab, not the Detailed view. 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Medication Record tab. 3. Select the Condense button at the top. NOTE: By default, the Medication Record tab will display the Detailed view. The expand and condense buttons for each prescription are only available in the Condense view. 4. Use the expand and condense buttons to view the medication information. 5. Excluding Medications from a Medication Review In order to get the Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) for a patient when completing a medication review, users have the ability to exclude medications from the review, such as alcohol swabs, lancets, or aerochambers for example. This will ensure that the generated medication review record is reflective of the patient s active medication. To exclude prescriptions from the medication review, do the following: 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Medication Record tab. 3. Select the Exclude checkbox for the medication you do not wish to include in the medication review. 4. Continue completing the medication review, as per normal process. NOTE: Any medications that have the Exclude checkbox selected will not appear in the generated Medication History reports, but will continue to display in the Active view of the Medication Record tab. 2015. Changing the Primary Prescriber The Prescriber tab in a medication review will contain information pertaining to the patient s primary doctor, as indicated in PharmaClik Rx (Patient Folder > Preferences tab). If the patient file does not indicate a primary doctor, the Prescriber tab will contain information for the most commonly used prescriber for the patient. The prescriber selected in the Prescriber tab is the doctor that the Physician Communication Letter will be addressed to. Users will have the ability to change the prescriber by searching and selecting the desired prescriber from the Prescriber tab. To change the primary prescriber, do the following: 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Prescriber tab. The current prescriber s information appears on top. 3. Select the Change button. The Change Prescriber window appears. 4. Enter search criteria for the prescriber you wish to select and select the Search button. 5. Highlight the prescriber from the list of returned results. 6. Select the Select button. 7. Adding Comments for the Physician Communication Letter The Prescriber tab provides pharmacies with a platform to be able to document and communicate actions with the patient s primary physician. The Physician Communication Letter will be addressed to the physician displayed in the Prescriber tab, and will contain all of the information entered in the Prescriber Communication section, as shown below. In Ontario, the Prescriber tab will appear similar to the following when the Opinion checkbox is selected for at least 1 prescription in the Medication Record tab: In all other provinces, the Prescriber tab will appear similar to the following: To add comments to the Physician Communication Letter, do the following: 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Prescriber tab. 3. Select the appropriate checkboxes from the Prescriber Communication section. 4. Enter in any information you wish to relay to the patient s prescriber in the Additional Notes section. 5. Continue completing your medication review as per normal process. 2015. Adding Pharmacist Notes to a Medication Review The Pharmacist Notes tab allows pharmacies to enter non-patient facing notes. Anything entered in this tab does not get printed on the generated medication review forms, or display elsewhere. Even after the medication review has been completed, pharmacies will still have the ability to access this tab to enter or modify their notes. These notes also get carried forward to all future conducted medication reviews. Users can also view previous notes entered in the Pharmacist Notes field from previous medication reviews. All previous notes appear below under the section Previous Notes. The details displayed include the date it was entered, the user who entered the note, and the note itself. To add pharmacist notes to a medication review, do the following: 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Pharmacist Notes tab. 3. Enter in your note in the textbox. Printing or Faxing a Physician Communication Letter Upon completion of a medication review, you may choose to send the result of the review to the patient s family doctor or prescriber. You can either print or fax a physician communication letter, which will include important details pertaining to the review. To print or fax a Physician Communication Letter, do the following: 1. Upon completion of a medication review, select the Print button. The Print Options window appears. 2. Provincial Medication Review Enhancements Province-specific enhancements have been made in PharmaClik Rx 1.4. Alberta: Tobacco Cessation Review In Alberta, the Tobacco Cessation Review has been enhanced to include the following sections in the Patient tab of the medication review: Current Pattern of Tobacco Use Readiness to Change/Quit Previous Quit Attempts Smoking Cessation Strategies Treatment Plan Comments These sections will permit a pharmacist to conduct a thorough review in regards to the patient s tobacco use and use that information to provide appropriate treatment options. 2015. British Columbia: Medication Review Interface The following minor enhancements have been made to PharmaClik Rx for the province of British Columbia: DTP (Drug Therapy Problem) has now been renamed to MMI (Medication Management Issue) in PharmaClik Rx and all generated reports. British Columbia: Adding DURs to a Medication Review When completing a medication review in British Columbia, users have the option to add DURs to the review in order to have a complete list that is reflective of the medications the patient is taking. NOTE: DURs added in PharmaClik Rx and during the medication review do not get transmitted to PharmaNet. To add a DUR to a medication review, do the following: 1. Launch the medication review. 2. Select the Medication Record tab. 3. Select the + New DUR button. 4. Search for and select the drug. 5. Enter in the following details regarding the DUR (required): Start Date Qty DS SIG NOTE: The Start Date field will be auto-populated with the current date. 6. Select the OK button. 2015.
