Side-by-Side Triage Activity Quick Start Guide Physicians, RNs, APNs, Paramedics, Medical Students Triage Activity Tab: The Triage Activity Tab allows clinicians to review relevant triage information, such as arrival time, recent visits, complaints, and home medications in one neatly placed location. Triage Tab Sections: First Provider Evaluation Treatment Team Triage Summary Complaints Previous Visits Allergies Home Medications Vitals Flowsheet Additional History Problem List Sections may vary by role. Important: The SxS Triage activity does not replace the Nurse s Triage Navigator. Triage Nurses may want to close the side-by-side (SxS) view while functioning as Triage Nurse or toggle between full view and SxS view.

Track Board Triage and Workup Activity 2 1. First Provider Evaluation Allows providers to file first provider evaluation event which is important for department metrics like Door to Doc time. Click the button to file event for current time. Use Date and Time fields to enter a time other than current time. Click X to delete event. This is NOT the same as signing up for the patient from Track Board. Providers still need to sign up for the patient by rightclicking on the patient name or adding themselves to the treatment team. Triage Tab Sections 2. Triage Summary Displays a quick summary of a patient's triage information like acuity, arrival date/time, Means of Arrival, service, and escort information. Referral and Triage notes (new note type) also display in this section. 3. Complaints This section shows a patient's complaints (free text arrival complaint, triage complaint and comments). Users can click edit to modify the triage complaint. 4. Previous Visits This section shows patient's previous visits. Click Chart Review to launch Chart Review activity or click on a visit to review a visit summary report. Users can hover over the funnel icon for more information on the subset of previous encounters.

Track Board Triage and Workup Activity 3 5. Allergies This section shows the patient's allergies and review status. Click icon to mark as reviewed if you have confirmed this with patient. Click Edit to launch Allergies activity. 6. Home Medications This section shows a patient's home medications and review status. Click icon to mark as reviewed if you have confirmed this with patient. Click Edit to launch Home Medications activity. Note: When the Home Meds section is launched, users must click heading to open section. 7. Vitals This section shows a patient's vitals. By default, the rows 5-Blood Pressure, 6-Temperature, 8-Pulse, 9-Respirations, and 10-Pulse Oximetry appear. Click Historical Data button to see historical vital signs. Click icon in historical data window for info on subset displayed.

Track Board Triage and Workup Activity 4 8. Flowsheets These section allows clinicians to view and file flowsheet data. o The physicians are configured to view and edit C2 Clearance Consent to Treat and PRAM on the Triage Tab. o The nurses are configured to view and edit the Medication Reassessment data. The date hyperlinks represent flowsheet values recorded at that time. Users must click on the date hyperlink to see the values recorded. Important! - Select Edit to change existing values, New Reading to enter new values. Please only edit your own data. 9. History This section shows a patient's medical, surgical, and social history. Click icon to mark as reviewed if you have confirmed this with patient Edit to launch History activity.

Track Board Triage and Workup Activity 5 10. Problem List This section shows the patient's problem list. It also shows the patient's care coordination note if one exists. Although there is an icon to mark as reviewed, ED providers will not mark this section as reviewed. The section exists for informational purposes only. Edit button will launch the Problem List activity. Please only edit your own data. Additional Changes: In addition to the SxS Track Board Workspace, we are also changing layout of workspace when physicians open the chart. This change applies to ED Attending, Nurse Practitioners, Fellows and Residents. The layout will include the large activity tabs and move many activities under More activities. For more information please reference the Provider Navigator Changes Quick Start Guide. Please contact the service desk @ 64100 to resolve technical issues.
