In furtherance of this commitment, the Church sponsors a number of scholarships ( Enon Scholarships ). The Church agrees to fund all Enon Scholarships. In addition to the Enon Scholarships, individual members of the Enon community sponsor other scholarships. These scholarships are the responsibility of the individual donors, and the Church assumes no responsibility for funding these scholarships.
2014 SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS 1. The deadline for returning the completed application, required documentation, college transcript, and essay is Sunday, April13, 2014. 2. Read the criteria for this scholarship carefully. ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS 3. *We must receive your official college transcript, including spring 2014 classes and grades. Your college registrar must mail your official transcript, in a sealed envelope, directly to the church. Remind them to put Scholarship Ministry on the envelope. NOTE: If your official transcript does not contain your spring 2014 grades at the time it is mailed from your institution, you may submit a copy of your spring 2014 grades, printed from your college website as soon as your semester grades are available. The website copied transcript must show your name, school name, college level and G.P.A. You must submit all other required application data to be considered for a scholarship when your 2014 spring grades are available and submitted. You can either email the spring 2014 grades to the scholarship ministry (scholarship@enontab.org) or place them in an envelope and mail to the church or deposit in the scholarship dropbox at the Enon East security station. 4. If you will begin your graduate/doctorate studies in Fall 2014, we must receive proof of enrollment in school and your major area of study. Submit a copy of your school s acceptance letter for Fall of 2014; the letter must state your field of study. 5. Church membership is a requirement Scholarships are for Enon members only. Student/applicant must be a member of ETBC for minimum of one (1) year as of September 1, 2014 (membership marked as the date of your baptism/right-hand of fellowship at Enon). You must provide your Enon Envelope Number on the application forms. NOTE: Some scholarships require longer periods of membership. 6. All scholarship applicants must provide a student resume along with the application and other required documentation as stated in the scholarship s criteria. Resume should include, with dates of involvement, the following: A. University/College with Major and G.P.A. B. Community Service during your college years provide written verification, if possible, on agency letterhead C. Employment D. Awards & honors 7. ESSAY- An essay is required to be considered for the scholarships. The essay must be typed. Each page of the essay must include your name, church envelope number and the name of the scholarship at the top of each page. 8. Please see the scholarship criteria for the age limits. 9. Scholarship recipients may be asked to participate in future Scholarship Ministry events and workshops.

2014 GRADUATE and DOCTORATE HEALTH SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING Scholarship (Sponsored by Dr. Nicole Matthews, D.O, M.S.) New in 2014. This new $2,500 non-renewable scholarship has been made available by Minister Dr. Nicole Matthews and will be awarded to an exceptional undergraduate/graduate female student pursuing a career in medicine or in the health sciences.* This scholarship celebrates one s commitment to the reconciliation and healing of souls for Christ through the practice of medicine and/or mental health treatment. Additionally, this scholarship applauds the academic diligence and success necessary to serve your community in this capacity. The recipient of the scholarship will be a full-time Medical School or Graduate school female student, 26 years old or younger, with documented community/volunteer service. To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: Submit a completed application data form Female An official transcript from your previous undergraduate institution or current graduate/medical school, whichever is applicable, sent directly from the registrar s office of your undergraduate school to the Scholarship Ministry* Submit a resume ETBC member for a minimum of two (2) years as of September 1, 2014 Minimum academic GPA of 3.3 or better Proof of acceptance/enrollment in Medical School or Graduate program Letter of recommendation from a current advisor, mentor, professor, or practicing clinician in the field you are pursuing Documentation of 50 (or more) hours of community service/volunteer work completed during your undergraduate/graduate career. Please provide signed documents/letters, on official stationary, from the place(s) you served. Specific Essay: 1000 words or less essay that answers the following questions: In the words of a song by Patti LaBelle, "when you've been blessed... pass it on!" When you are blessed to practice in the position to which you aspire, how will you pass that blessing on? Describe your motivation or passion for wanting to give back in this way. Enon Ministry participation during your undergraduate/graduate career is preferred. 2014 GRADUATE PSYCHOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP The Dr. Arthur C. Evans Jr, Graduate Scholarship in Psychology (Sponsored by Bro. Arthur and Sis. Claudene Evans) This $1,000 non-renewal scholarship is established to promote interest in graduate education in the area of psychology including, but not limited to, research, policy, clinical practice or academia. The award is available to a full-time student enrolled in an accredited graduate program in psychology or a graduating senior who has been accepted into a graduate psychology program or an individual holding a bachelor s degree who has been accepted into a graduate psychology program. The applicant must be under the age of 30 and pursuing his/her first graduate degree. In addition to the scholarship funds, the recipient will also be eligible for a mentorship by a doctoral level psychologist. To be considered for this scholarship, you must: Submit a completed application data form An official transcript from your undergraduate institution sent directly from the registrar s office of your undergraduate school to the Scholarship Ministry* Submit a resume ETBC member for a minimum of one (1) year as of September 1, 2014 Minimum academic GPA of 2.5 Must be preferably accepted or has applied to a graduate program in any area of psychology at the time of the award. The applicant may not have a graduate degree, but must be pursuing his/her first graduate degree. Submit an essay of 1-2 pages about your career goals. Essay will be judged on the clearly articulated goals that show how a graduate degree will help the student pursue his/her career goals, particularly those that contribute to improving the condition of society. Doctoral programs preferred, but students attending master s level programs are also eligible.
