Your alma mater is 57 years old now and has seen many changes over this long period. The old equipment gifted by UNICEF in 1960 and installed in STD are still working, but the manpower has changed. The faculty is almost new with only few old face of eighties like me, Dr Bhadania, Dr JP Prajapati, Dr Aparnathi, Dr Jana. We are dynamic and have changed over time in many respects. The syllabus has been revised several times and we will be implementing the lasts revision of course curricula as per the recommendation of 5th Dean s committee formulated by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. We have world class infrastructure facilities including Anubhav dairy, Vidya dairy, hostels, classrooms, upgraded laboratories, all equipment and instruments for high tech research and so on. During sixties, we were admitting only 20 students every year, which increased to 40 for many years and at present we have admission capacity of 65. This includes 43 normal seats, 7 from ICAR and 15 payment seats. Entire admission process is online and we admit students based on merit of 12th science and JEE score. The number of applicants is in thousands and SMC is still a number one preferred college for seeking admission. We still maintain a record of 100% placement. However, as the number of girl students is increasing, we are finding some problems for placement. Looking to our infrastructure facilities, faculty strength, alumni profile and placement record, we are not less than an IIT,IIM or any other national institute. Friends, let us come to gather and strengthen our alumni association and our college. We already have alumni chapters in Gulf, USA and Canada. This year, we opened a chapter in Europe too. Apart from these, alumni of different batches organize get-togather. Last year, there was a grand alumni meet of 1981-85 batch in Jaipur. This shows our family strength. Our unique activity of biannual alumni convention and honoring of silver jubilee batch continues since last 25 years. We will have our 12th Alumni convention during 4-5 February 2017, where we will honour the pass out students of 1991 and 1992, apart from some distinguished alumni. Please book your tickets in advance, come home and enjoy. We will be eager to welcome you GET READY FOR THESE EVENTS...
