FORGING AHEAD 19
THE FUTURE Implementation of the sustainability roadmap Anchor our socio-economic interventions on core business activities Better inter-company integration on infrastructure development for maximum value and impact. Conclude partnership funding agreements Institutional arrangements to ensure meaningful participation of development stakeholders Challenges Significant delays by our partners resulting in escalation of costs High turn-over of employees in host municipalities resulting in interruptions and often in buy-in and ownership Lack of synergies by mining houses on delivering to same communities Areas of Concern Capacity constraints of our development partners Volatile host communities in search of service delivery Trends and developments in other mining jurisdictions - Marikana Lessons learned Partnerships and collaboration is critical in delivering sustainable socio-economic projects Good partnerships. Good relations. Good communication
