Laclede County 4-H Clover News University of Missouri Extension December 2016 Edition 4-H members, parents and volunteers, November was a busy month for 4-H. By the time you read this, it will be December and the holiday season will be upon us. 174 members have enrolled in Laclede County 4-H to date. There are several more of you who still need to get that chore done as soon as you can. Many clubs are down to a family or two who still needs to complete the enrollment process. Several congratulations are due from November. Congratulations to Laclede County 4-H for being the top fund raising county in the state with the Tractor Supply fall fundraising event. Thanks to Kim McSorley and Elada Wears for heading up this successful event. Congrats to the Robotics First LEGO League group for their successes at the competition in Camdenton. Congrats to the 4-H float in the Christmas Parade. They received 2 nd place honors among youth floats. Congrats to 21 members who received $1500 in Project Assistance Grants from the Laclede County Extension council. We want to thank our regional representative Mitchell Moon from Tipton for attending our November 4-H council meeting and spending time with the youth prior to that. The Teen Leadership Project group put on a successful county wide Officer Training program. Madeline McKimmey, Shane Stowe and Lacey Lemons led the charge on that. Many county wide projects have already met in November. Scrapbooking, Sheep, Goats, Arts and Crafts, Outdoor Cookery, Hostessing, Sign Language, Livestock Judging, Shotguns, Air Pistols, Filmmaking and Poultry are some of those whom have met. It is not too late to be a part of these or any other project group.i hope all members and parents give their club leaders and other project leaders a big thank you the next time you see them. They dedicate a lot of time and energy to making all this happen each month. Till next month, Sam Sam Lower, 4-H Youth Development Specialist Laclede, Dallas & Camden Counties 186-D N.
