Infineon Builds a New Factory in China On October 8, 2015, Infineon Technologies announced the set-up of its second factory in Wuxi, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary of operation in China. It comprises a total investment of nearly USD 300 million, engaging an area of 36,000 square meters. An addition of 2,500 jobs is anticipated upon rampup of all production lines. Linde Invests 110+ millions Euro in China March 2017, German gases and engineering company The Linde Group, through its electronics special gases joint venture in China, Linde LienHwa, is expanding its commitment to China and the Asia Pacific region through investments of over EUR 110 million. The capital is being allocated for new on-site gas production facilities in major electronics manufacturing clusters in the eastern and central provinces of China, including leading-edge foundry, memory and flat panel display fabs. Osram Doubles Capacity of the China Plant August 8th 2017, Osram Opto Semiconductors announced the initiation of its factory's phase two expansion project in the Wuxi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. This project will at least double the existing capacity and possibly create over 2000 job vacancies. Osram officially began the operation of its Wuxi plant in 2014.
