Taskforce on subcontracting and multi annual GVC/IS survey The GVC/IS survey provided interesting results but is not part of official statistics Modern production arrangements (factoryless good providers, merchanting, goods send for processing etc.) are not captured in statistics Starting point is to combine an annual anchor in SBS (subcontracting) with a multi annual survey TF proposal on annual/multi-annual data collection on GVC to be included in FRIBS

New MDL project Follow up on the ESSnet MDL project started in 2014 where SBS Data is linked on enterprise level with other business statistics Also experiences from other MDL projects (ICT, TEC, STEC) will be carefully analysed and taken into account as far as possible The same setup, coordinated MDL with methodological support to create harmonised linked data sets in countries Analysis will be published in a statistics explained Aim is also to create data sets that could become part of regular production of statistics

Globalisation Indicators follow up Eurostat is evaluating the work of the ESSnet What is the data availability What can our experts in the separate fields tell us We aim to publish in July a first set of main indicators on economic globalisation: trade, FDI, employment, R&D and value added on country level In long term this will be followed by supplemental and experimental indicators with more detailed breakdowns
