FTAPCCI - An Introduction The Federation of Telangana & AndhraPradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) is an Apex Body representing Industry, Trade & Professionals in the States of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. The chamber was started in 1917 as Chamber of Commerce representing the entire state of Hyderabad including part of present Karnataka & Maharashtra, which were the part of Nizam s dominion. The year 1956 saw the formation of Andhra Pradesh and in the year 1958 the chamber was named as The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The chamber is renamed as The Federation of Telangana & AndhraPradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry after the bifurcation of erstwhileandhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. FTAPCCI gradually evolved into an organization representing large, medium and small scale industries. It also represents wholesale, retail & small traders along with the professionals like chartered accountants, advocates & consultants. The major trade associations of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh are under the umbrella of FTAPCCI. FTAPCCI also conducts studies on various subjects related to trade and industry and acts as a Knowledge Chamber. FTAPCCI has got a direct membership of more than 3000 & with its 160 association/chambers as members, the indirect membership is over 25000. Indeed, FTAPCCI is one of the largest state chamber in the Country and has become an important forum for interaction between government and industry in a true global perspective. FTAPCCI shall be celebrating its Centenary in the year 2017. FTAPCCI has its nominees in many Govt. and Semi-Govt. organizations to represent members interest. FTAPCCI has become an important forum for interaction between Govt. and business and industry in a global perspective. Many trade delegations that are visiting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from various countries are hosted by FTAPCCI. The interactions and visits of the business delegates are playing a vital role in increasing the business contacts with the counterparts. FTAPCCI periodically holds Conferences, Seminars and Meetings on latest developments in the fields of exports/imports, economy, industry, marketing trends, investments, taxation, etc. FTAPCCI Excellence Awards FTAPCCI Excellence Awards have been instituted to recognize Corporates, institutions, entrepreneurs and individuals for their outstanding contributions /achievements in select areas and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas. The entries received are thoroughly scrutinized by an independent Jury comprising of eminent persons and experts who make the final selection for the Award. Each Award is focused on a different theme and consists of Trophy / Plaque and a Citation. The award winners receive extensive media coverage. Winning of Awards is an indication of the awardees success and attracts recognition by the industry. The recognition encourages the winners and also inspires others to excel in their respective fields.

INDUSTRY 1. Excellence in Industrial Productivity Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by FTAPCCI. Improvements achieved in productivity of inputs such as reduction in the consumption of power, raw materials, man-hours, etc. per unit of output for the same levels of production, resulting in more economical output, increased capital productivity, better quality of output, higher yields, increased value of turnover, price preference, etc. Increased output through increased utilisation of the installed capacity from year to year will not be counted. 2. Excellence inall Round Performance Amancherla Ramamurthy Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by VBC Industries Ltd., Hyderabad. Industrial Promotion by an entrepreneur already having an Industrial unit through substantial expansion, introducing new lines of manufacture, diversification, setting up a new industry including through joint ventures with ownership and control, assistance extended to entrepreneurs in putting up new manufacturing units by providing either financial resources or technology knowhow or both, etc. The main criterion will be contribution to the industrial activity including Research & Development, Social Welfare, Labour Welfare andancillary Development. 3. Excellence inagro Based Industry Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by The India Cements Ltd., Hyderabad. The award is meant for Agro Based Industry and is presented in recognition of excellent performance and contribution made to Agriculture. for selection includes Productivity, Innovation, Research & Development, CSR, Labour Welfare and ancillary development, benefits to Farmers for improvement of quality, production and productivity, export and import substitution initiatives. 4. Excellence in Marketing Initiatives D.P. Agarwal Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Central India Group of Industries, Hyderabad. Overall growth, innovations, new strategies / techniques that have produced commercial results in Marketing & Marketing Technology Development for the products in the domestic market. 5. Excellence in Export Performance Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Surana Group of Industries, Secunderabad. Market/Technology Development, overall growth, net foreign exchange earned. 6. Excellence in Export Performance (Micro and Small Enterprise) Raja Saheb of Itkyal Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Sri Ch.Venkateshwar Rao, Past-President, FTAPCCI. MSE shall have the same definition as assigned by the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and at present the limit of investment on Plant & Machinery is upto Rs.5 crores. Division of a company will not be treated as a small scale unit. Market / Technology Development, overall growth, net foreign exchange earned.

7. Excellence in New and Renewable Energy Development / Application Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation ofa.p. Limited, Hyderabad. Achievements in alternative / inexhaustible renewable energy sources that have commercial application. 8. Excellence in Employee Welfare Initiatives Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Kesoram Cement, Basantnagar. Employees Welfare would include the cumulative efforts and the results achieved in Family Planning, Township Development, Healthcare, Education, etc. 9. Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility SriAyyadevara Venkat Radhakrishna Memorial Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Sri SrinivasAyyadevara, CharteredAccountant, Hyderabad. The Award is meant for excellence in corporate, social and environmental activity and seeks to identify organisations which best exemplify the social and community spirit. The main criteria is to assess how an organization has made CSR an integral part in the way they do business and has implemented interesting & innovative CSR projects or programs that have an impact and are sustainable. INNOVATION 10. Excellence in Product Innovation Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by MRF Ltd., Sadasivapet, Medak Dt. Innovation and Commercialization of new products. 11. Excellence in Product Innovation (Micro and Small Enterprise) Sri Dalchand Agarwal Memorial Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Sri Laxmi Prasad Agarwal, Chairman & Mg. Director, DSL Infrastructure & Space Developers Private Ltd., Hyderabad. MSE shall have the same definition as assigned by the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and at present the limit of investment on Plant & Machinery is upto Rs.5 crores. Excellence in Innovative Product/Service in Healthcare with Highest Societal Impact Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Shantha Biotechnics Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. i) The Award will be given to a Company, Research Lab, Hospital or any other Agency which ranks high in making significant societal impact through new innovative technology/product/service in the healthcare field that is capable of being introduced in the market. ii) Benefits should be measurable in terms of actual / expected benefit of the product / service.

R & D TECHNOLOGY 13. Excellence in Research & Development Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Spectra Shares & Scrips Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. Results of research / technology developed, announced, accrued and commercialised which would include both process and product development efforts. 14. Excellence in Research & Development (Micro and Small Enterprise) Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Elico Ltd., Hyderabad. MSE shall have the same definition as assigned by the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and at present the limit of investment on Plant & Machinery is upto Rs.5 crores. Division of a company will not be treated as a small scale unit. Results of research/technology developed, announced, accrued and commercialised which would include both process and product development efforts. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 15. Excellence in Information Technology (IT) Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Oriental Bank of Commerce, Secunderabad. New products innovations / applications / services and their corresponding sales, exports, quality improvements and further expansion/diversification, etc. in IT Sector. TOURISM PROMOTION 16. Excellence in Tourism Promotion Dalchand Sunderbai Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Sri Suraj Prasad Agarwal, Promoters of White House The Award is meant for promotion and development of tourism by Tourism Companies, Tourism Agents, Hotels, Resorts, Hospitality Industry including Medical Tourism, Pilgrimage Tourism etc. for evaluation includes innovative initiatives to attract tourists, foreign exchange earned, unearthing potential areas of interest, historical or otherwise.

CHAMBER / ASSOCIATION 17. Excellence in Association / Chamber for serving Industry, Commerce and Economy Silver Rolling Trophy Instituted by Model Group of Companies, Hyderabad. The award is meant for association/chamber that has provided outstanding services to its members to promote the growth of Industry, Commerce, Trade and Services and any other activity to help the growth of the Economy. INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT 18. Excellence in Science or Engineering Chelikani Atchut Rao Cash Award of Rs.7001/- Instituted by Sri C.V. Sitaramaswamy, Past-President, FTAPCCI The Award will be given only to an individual, for outstanding contribution to knowledge based industries through research & development and innovations in materials science/applied research and space science. The application should be routed through the Organisation in which the individual is employed. 19. Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur/ Scientist / Manager/ Technologist Smt. Chelikani Vijayakumari CashAward of Rs.7001/- Instituted by Sri C.V. Sitaramaswamy, Founder, Vijaya Memorial Foundation, Visakhapatnam. Establishing and successfully running a business unit, bringing about product and process innovations and providing employment. SOCIAL WELFARE AND DIFFERENTLY ABLED SERVICES 20. Outstanding Self-Sustaining Effort by a DifferentlyAbled Person Margadarsi CashAward of Rs.4001/- Instituted by Margadarsi Chit Fund (P) Ltd., Hyderabad Outstanding self-sustaining effort 21. Excellence in Social Welfare Initiatives for Women Empowerment Smt.Jamunadevi Tibrewala Award Instituted by Omprakash Tibrewala Foundation, Hyderabad. i) The applicant should be a corporate body / an association of persons / a trust / NGO, for the upliftment of women in the society, including destitute, physically challenged, economically weaker section, education, social welfare, etc. ii) Quantifiable efforts towards supporting women for earning a livelihood and such other selfhelp initiatives. iii) In the absence of suitable entry as per criteria (ii) above any other quantifiable efforts for welfare of such women will be considered.

GUIDELINES and CONDITIONS 1. Awards are given to Individuals, Partnership Firms, Proprietory concerns, Companies, Research bodies, Industry / Trade, Associations, Industrial organisations engaged in applied research functioning through their works or operations in the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. For cash awards only individuals will be considered. FTAPCCI Awards are open to all. 2. i) Entry Fee for the Awards will be as follows:- Industry other than MSE... ` 4,500/- (for FTAPCCI Members)... ` 5,500/- (for non-members) MSE (Micro & Small... ` 2,500/- (for FTAPCCI members) Enterprises)... ` 3,500/- (for non-members) The Entry Fee includes the services tax of 15%. The entry fee is to be paid by way of Cash or Cheque / DD in favour of FTAPCCI payable at Hyderabad. ii) Individual Awards viz. 18, 19 and 20 are exempted from entry fee. 3. (i) Download the Application/Questionnaire for Awards from website : www.fapcci.in. The questionnaire consists of Two Parts. In Part-I, information upto and inclusive of Financial Year ended 31.3.2015 and for immediate preceding 2 years is to be furnished. Part-2 pertains to information with respect to the Award. (ii) Eight copies, printed / photo copies of the duly filled-in application, should be submitted on or st before 31 August, 2016 along with a soft copy on a CD. 4. TheAwards Committee may, from time to time, revise or amplify the criteria for the Awards. 5. Entries are invited for allawards subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions and criteria. 6. No entrant for the award will be eligible for the same award until after the expiry of two years from the date of lastaward if any received by him/them.

7. Where a company/firm applying for an award has more than one unit, so long as such units are autonomous, separate units, for different products, there is no bar for another unit of the same company/firm applying for the same award in the succeeding year. 8. Notwithstanding the above principle, an entrant could be selected for a award different from the one applied for. 9. The Awards Committee of the FTAPCCI will be the Jury for deciding the best entries for the awards. The Committee may at its discretion co-opt experts/specialists to assist it in taking a decision. The Jury s decision shall be final. 10. The Members of the Awards Committee of FTAPCCI cannot apply for the Awards. Sponsors of Awards are not eligible for the Award so sponsored. 11. In case one of the applicants for an award is a unit of a country-wide organisation, only performance of unit in Telangana andandhra Pradesh will be considered for the Award. 12. Entries for Awards are to be in the respective prescribed applications which are available at FTAPCCI office or downloaded from the FTAPCCI Website. 13. The Awards are meant for recognising excellence/outstanding achievements and/or contributions made to the growth of the States of Telangana andandhra Pradesh.
