Approver User Guide
Overview Designated administrators will approve, reject, or request revisions to Agenda Items entered by the Item Authors prior to the scheduled Agenda Prep meeting. Getting Started Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser on a PC within the M-DCPS network. This site is best viewed using the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. From the Internet, Go To The Employee s Page on dadeschools.net http://www2.dadeschools.net/employees/employees.htm Select e Agenda from the Tool Box, http://eagenda.dadeschools.net/ Add this site to your Favorites for quick access in the future Type Username (Assigned by e Agenda Administrator) Type Password (Assigned by e Agenda Administrator) Role Select Approver from the Role list box Click Log-In Note: If you cannot log in, email the system administrator at e-agenda@dadeschools.net Miami-Dade County Public Schools 1
Approving an Agenda Item The Agenda Approver page is displayed. Select an Agenda To approve, reject, or request a revision to the agenda item, Click The Select an Agenda button Select The appropriate Agenda from the list box Awaiting Approval Click The Item Filter button Select The Awaiting Approval status from the list The Agenda Approver page is displayed with the Submitted Items list awaiting approval. To view the details about the Agenda Item, View Click The View icon The Agenda Approver : View Agenda Item page is displayed. Verify the Agenda Item information for accuracy. Miami-Dade County Public Schools 3
Viewing Agenda Attachments To view supporting documents attached to the Agenda Item, Attachments Click The Attachments: (list) to review supporting documents about the Agenda Item located near the bottom of the screen After reviewing all information related to the Agenda Item, Click The back to agenda approver button located in the upper left of the page to return to the Agenda Approver page Requesting an Agenda Item Revision Display the Agenda Item from the Agenda Approver: View Agenda Item page. Request Revision Click The Request Revision button located in the bottom right of the page. A pop-up window is displayed. Miami-Dade County Public Schools 4
On the Agenda Approver: Request Item Revision page, Send Type The requested change(s) to the Agenda Item in space provided Click The Send button, which automatically sends the request to the Item Author s email address. When you return to the Agenda Approver page, you will see that the agenda item has been marked with the new status designation Revision Requested Approving or Rejecting an Agenda Item From the Agenda Approver page, Approve or Reject Submit Click The Approve or Reject button. To view fully approved or rejected items from the Agenda Approver page, Click The Item Filter button to display Fully Approved or Rejected Agenda Items. Click The log out button to exit the program. The Item Author and Approver can view the status or request revisions to an agenda item prior to the Agenda Prep meeting. After the Agenda Prep meeting, changes must be made by the Board Agenda Secretary. Note: If an Agenda Item submitted to Agenda Prep is to be withdrawn, notify the Board Agenda Secretary to withdraw the item. DO NOT DELETE THE ITEM!
