INPATIENT REHABILITATION UNIT 017 Outcomes Report

Welcome to the unit CARF accredited We re proud to share that the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has accredited St. Cloud Hospital s services since 009. This recognition assures that patients receive the highest quality services possible. Ask what our CARF accreditation means to you! Staff achievements The caring and dedicated staff of the St. Cloud Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides holistic care in a serene setting, with views of nature and a calming landscape. Patients and families benefit from a specialized occupational therapy gym and kitchen as well as a fully equipped therapy gym. Patients and families can expect, on average, three hours of therapy each day. Patient satisfaction Beginning with our Catholic heritage more than 15 years ago, St. Cloud Hospital has a longstanding culture of compassionately serving our patients. We are proud of our compassionate care which is reflected in our patient satisfaction. We were ranked in the top 10 percent in the nation for patient satisfaction by Press Ganey. Of the patients surveyed, 100 percent said they would recommend us to family and friends. St. Cloud Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation was recognized with the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award. The award is given to organizations who have sustained the 95 th percentile or higher for patient experience surveys and Press Ganey reports through each reporting period during the award year (May 016-April 017). St. Cloud Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is proud of our team, which includes experienced doctors, highly educated therapists, nationally certified nurses and committed staff. Stroke and neurology outcomes Adolescent outcomes Stroke patients are the largest population served on the St. Cloud Hospital Rehabilitation Unit. The second largest group includes patients with neurological conditions including traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and dysfunction, and neurological disorders. In both groups, we achieved better functional improvement as demonstrated by the total FIM change and length of stay efficiency for the duration, compared to regional and national rehabilitation facilities. Children with major illnesses and complex injuries have different needs than adults. Our rehabilitation team is committed to providing personalized, coordinated care to support adolescent patients, ages 13-17, and their families. We work with our patients to achieve optimum independence, allowing them to return to home, school and community.
