Grading Information Grading Rationale Quizzes may be given at various intervals throughout the course but will not count toward the grade. Students must perform assigned activities. A pretest will be administered at the beginning of the course which will not count as part of the final grade. A final exam will be administered and a P/F grade will be given based on the grading scale unless a letter grade is requested. Grading Scale A 93% - 100% B 84% - 92% C This grade will be given only to students who request a letter grade and failed the test on first attempt requiring remediation. According to AHA guidelines, students must pass with an 84% or higher. D This grade will not be given. According to AHA guidelines, students must pass with an 84% or higher. F 83% and below.
