POSITION PURPOSE The purpse f this rle is t lead a team within Oranga Tamariki, prviding grup/individual care/custdy fr children and yung peple within a residential setting. The Night Supervisin f yung peple in Residence and security f prperty and plant during the night hurs. T ensure that scial wrk care and safety practice is delivered within a caring envirnment and in accrdance with the requirements f the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and ther relevant legislatin, plicy and identified best practice. Residential care service delivery Delivering a prfessinal residential care service by: - Perfrming the duties f Team Leader in a prfessinal manner, in accrdance with relevant legislatin, regulatin, plicies and cdes f ethics/practice. - Ensuring that she/he and the night staff maintain credible, frmal and prfessinal recrds including the use f cmputer infrmatin systems where available. - Preparing and cmpleting infrmative, accurate and prfessinal nightly reprts. - Prviding caching, develpment and training pprtunities fr team members as negtiated with the Manager. - Planning fr persnal training, caching and develpment pprtunities are discussed with the Manager. - Ensuring that all team members are accuntable fr their practice thrugh the use f supervisin and perfrmance management agreements, which are cnsistent with Oranga Tamariki plicies and prcedures. - Being persnally practive, identifying, managing and mitigating Psitin Descriptin Supervisr Night Attendant 2

Nn-cmpliant behaviurs are managed thrugh the use f apprpriate interventins and punishments, which are fully cnsistent with the Residential Regulatins 1996. Children and Yung Peple are cntained within the Residence in a nn-threatening, nn-vilent manner in accrdance with the Residential Regulatins 1996.
