Boot Camp benefits UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE HIGHLY RATED SURVEY Prep BOOT CAMP Long-Term Care VERSION HCPro s Survey Prep Boot Camp is the most comprehensive survey program available today designed to encompass not only the rules and regulations, but to link the pieces together and assist with process improvement. Custom-Designed Course Materials All course materials were custom-developed by HCPro, Inc., specifically for the intensive learning format used for this course. Hands on Learning At the conclusion of each course module, participants complete a set of exercises or roleplaying scenarios designed to ensure that they understand the concepts and know how to apply them to real-world situations. Live Instruction All classes are taught by an experienced, live instructor. No computer-based instruction or videotapes are used. Small Class Size The number of course participants is limited in order to retain a low participant-teacher ratio. This also allows us to provide individual instruction, as needed, when course participants find a topic to be particularly challenging. Register online and SAVE $100! Participant-Driven All participants are asked to complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the course. We carefully review the evaluations for each course and regularly enhance the program based on the evaluations. Focus on the actual rules This course focuses on learning how to find and apply CMS rules and guidelines to ensure survey compliance as well as improvement or maintenance of your Five-Star Nursing Home Rating. Need more information? Call 877/821-4133 or visit www.hcprobootcamps.com. Excellent class, very informative. Diane is an excellent faculty. I ve learned so much from this class. The knowledge that I learned from this class will definitely help me understand the regulations and bring up our facility to higher stands. Boot Camp at a glance What is the Survey Prep Boot Camp Long-Term Care Version? Survey Prep Boot Camp Long-Term Care Version is an intensive, four-day course outlining how to prepare and master the nursing home survey process with either traditional or QIS methodology. Staying compliant with new and upcoming F-Tags, strategies for coping with surveyors and survey teams while they are in your building, and minimizing and fighting deficiencies under the current regulatory environment are all covered in the four-day program. CMS has stepped up its survey efforts for 2009. The agency has: d Implemented a 5-Star nursing home ratings system for consumers d Identified a list of 25% of all nursing homes for improvement in either pressure ulcers and/or retraints under the QIO 9th SOW d Plans to implement MDS 3.0 later this year approximately 24% of survey is based on MDS data d F-Tag updates will continue Another key CMS push for 2009 is the continued transition to the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) process. QIS uses an objective and very structured approach to the survey process with computer software. The computer analyzes the MDS coding and over 100 quality relationships and then pinpoints areas for surveyors to focus on ahead of time. Surveyors are now freed up to spend more time observing care delivery and will leave no stone unturned when it comes to citing deficiencies. The Survey Prep Boot Camp Long-Term Care Version will prepare nursing home professionals for all these survey challenges, providing an in-depth understanding of all recent and upcoming F-tag and survey changes, plus the tools and resources necessary to ensure that a facility is survey-ready all year round. Register online and SAVE $100! HOST A BOOT CAMP If you have a group to train, let us come to you! Hosting a Boot Camp is easy and cost-effective. Eliminate travel costs and enjoy a group discount while ensuring your staff is up to date on the latest rules and guidelines. Call 877/821-4133 for more information.
