Rangoli RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR VARIOUS COMPETITIONS Organizers: Visual Arts Club (President: Dr. Ratan Kumar, Vice President: Dr. Alka Misra) Rangoli will be based on the theme of the mini fest. Maximum Duration permissible: 1:30 hrs. Team Size Permissible: 3-4 students. No materials will be provided by the organizers. All participants have to bring their own materials. 2. Cartoon Making Organizers: Visual Arts Club (President: Dr. Ratan Kumar, Vice President: Dr. AlkaMisra) Cartoon will be based on the theme of the mini fest. Maximum Duration permissible: 1:30 hrs. Drawing paper will be provided. No other material will be provided by the organizers. All participants have to bring their own materials. 3. Poetry Recitation Organizers: Literary Club (President: Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal, Vice President: Dr. Manini) Self composed hand written poem (mini fest theme based) will have to be submitted prior for assessment of authenticity. Poems can also be emailed at sanskritikilkouniv@gmail.com Language can be either English or Hindi

Maximum Duration: 3 minutes Maximum Team Size: 1student (Individual Event). 4. Dumb Charade Organizers: Dramatics Club (President: Dr. Minakshi Pawha, Vice President: Dr. Geetanjali Mishra) Language: Any one, English or Hindi. Team Size Permissible: 4 students will make a team. Theme: Bollywood and Hollywood movies 5. Debate Organizers: Debating Club Motion: Rich Heritage of Uttar Pradesh may prove to be the Vehicle of Balanced Development व षय: उत तर प रद श क सम द ध व र सत स त ल त व क स क हन स ब त ह सकत ह To be announced on university website in first week of October, 2017 Maximum Duration permissible: 03 + 01 minutes Language: English or Hindi. Mixing of languages will not be allowed. Team Size Permissible: 2 students (For and against the motion). Single entries will be discouraged. 6. Collage Making Organizers: Visual Arts Club Collage will be based on the theme of the mini fest. Maximum Team Size Permissible: 4 students. No materials will be provided by the organizers. All participants have to bring their own materials. No scissors, blades or rulers allowed. Only hand made. 7. Tag Line of sanskritiki Organizers: LiteraryClub (President: Dr. KiranLataDangwal, Vice President: Dr. Manini)

Tag lines not to exceed 07 words. To be submitted at the venue in an envelope. 8. BEST OUT OF WASTE Organizers: Innovations Club (President: Dr. Anurag Srivastava, Vice President: Dr. Vasudha Kumar) Only waste material can be used for the purpose of this competition. The art work should correspond to the theme of the main event. Maximum Time Permissible: 2 hours. No material will be provided by the organizers, all the required material have to be brought by the participants. To decorate the art work, glue, paints, colours, etc. can be used by the participants. Participants are not allowed to bring any structure partly or fully made; all the art work is required to be prepared only during the allotted time. Team size permissible: 2-3 students. 9. mono act Organizers: Dramatics Club (President: Dr. MinakshiPawha, Vice President: Dr. Geetanjali Mishra) The act should correspond to the theme of the main event. It can be a mime or a soliloquy. Language: Both English or Hindi. Maximum time permissible: 03 minutes 10. Creative writing Organizers: LiteraryClub (President: Dr. KiranLataDangwal, Vice President: Dr. Manini) Language: English or Hindi. Mixing of languages will not be allowed. Maximum Word Limit: 300 words Topic will be announced on the spot but will be in the purview of the theme. 11. SOLO/GROUP Singing Competition Organizers: Performing Arts Club (President: Dr. Nupur Sen, Vice President: Dr. Anupama Srivastava) Maximum Duration permissible: 03 minutes. Only non-filmy /Bhajan/Ghazal/ Semi Classical songs will be allowed. Two accompanists will be provided.

Duration of the song shall be up to 3 minutes maximum. Judgement will be made on the qualities of - Swara Taal Selection of Song Composition 12. Indian Classical Solo Dance Competition - He/she can choose any ONE of the Indian Classical Dance forms to perform. Time duration for each performance is a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. Participants will be marked on the basis of the following- Expression Costume Clarity of mudras and postures Choice of music 13. Rules for choreography 1. Minimum participants for the event are 6 and the group may not exceed 10. 2. The theme for the choreography is based on folk dances. 3. The song for the performance shall be strictly non- filmy. 4. No obscene steps/ actions should be included in the choreography 5. The performance may not exceed 5 minutes per team. 6. One member of the team may give a brief introduction of the performance limited to 30 seconds. 7. The participants shall bring their songs loaded in a pen drive. 8. The judges hold the authority to disqualify a team based on their choice of song steps/actions and those teams that do not adhere to participant limits and time limit. 9. Decisions of the judges shall be final. General rules The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any act, which is hazardous to life and against public policy, i.e. decency, mortality etc.
