P A G E 6 (ii) Distinguished Member Alumni Association Awards (2014-2015) The selection for Distinguished Member Alumni Association Awards aims at giving recognition to the member alumni associations of the Federation for their significant contributions and distinguished performances. The awardees for the year 2014-2015 were: i) Most Successful Membership Recruitment Award Alumni Association of Nursing Studies (based on the growth rate); and Hong Kong Community College Alumni Association (based on the growth number) ii) Most Active Alumni Association Award The University of Warwick and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Manufacturing Alumni Association Limited (WPUMAA) iii) Most Outstanding Fund-raiser Award The Accounting and Finance Graduates Association (AFGA)
P A G E 7 4) Public Relations and Social Activities Sub-Committee (i) Reaching for the Stars - PolyU Alumni Reunion 2015 (7 Feb 2015) Nearly 600 alumni, students, staff and their families/friends came back to the campus to join the concert and 300 of them attended the dinner buffet held at 13/ F Jockey Club Innovation Tower afterwards. (ii) Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award 2015 The Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award 2015 was presented to eight distinguished graduates to recognize their remarkable professional accomplishments and significant contributions to their alma mater and the community. The Award Presentation Ceremony was a big success, with an excellent attendance of nearly 500 guests.
P A G E 8 (iii) Those Were the Days @ Keswick Hall PolyU Alumni Reunion 2015/2016 (21 Nov 2015) Nearly 300 PolyU alumni, friends and supporters gathered at the Lam Tai Fai Amphitheatre, the original location of the Keswick Hall (the icon of the campus of the Hong Kong Technical College and Hong Kong Polytechnic), for a fun-filled reunion. Kicked-off by the unveiling ceremony of the Keswick Hall Commemorative Bricks Wall, the reunion provided an opportunity for all PolyU alumni to reminisce about the fond memories of Keswick Hall. All participants enjoyed the high table dinner and the spectacular music performance by PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong, his band and local singer-songwriter Mr Jonathan Wong. Prior to the event, more than 130 alumni joined the campus visit to explore PolyU s latest research achievements and discover some facilities, such as the Presidents Office and Aviation Services Research Centre, and tour an exhibition on the soon-to-be-constructed Alumni Atrium located at Core A.
