Friday, October 19, 2018 CSUB Alumni Park Dear Friend of the CSUB Alumni Association, Party in the Park is an annual CSUB Alumni Association fundraising event centered on connecting the university with its alumni and the community. Since its inception, Party in the Park has raised thousands of dollars for alumni scholarships. We invite you to be part of this year s event as we celebrate 22 years and continue to support the mission and vision of the CSUB Alumni Association. This year, proceeds from Party in the Park will help enhance alumni scholarships and increase programing for RAMP (Runner Alumni Mentor Program). Last academic year, we matched up 51 student mentees with 42 alumni and community mentors. The program was a huge success and with support from community partners like you, we look forward to building on that in the 2018 19 academic year. The alumni scholarship fund also gave away more than $11,000 in scholarships to five CSUB alumni pursuing their graduate degree at the university. Their stories are ones of triumph, resilience and perseverance and your support will help more students like them earn a graduate degree next year. Taking place on campus in Alumni Park, this year s event theme will be Havana Nights! We will offer a fun and vibrant atmosphere, with a selection of local fare, wine and craft beer. The event will include an amazing silent auction supported by local businesses, live music from Mento Buru and great networking opportunities for our alumni and community partners. Party in the Park is an annual tradition, aimed at bringing alumni back to campus, increase Runner pride in our community and promote excellence at CSUB and in the community. We would love to showcase your restaurant, winery or brewery at our event! We are anticipating 400 guests at the event and request appropriate items for a 3-hour event, heavy appetizers. and wine/beer tasting.
