Towne Bank Teacher of the Year This grant honors teachers of the York County School Division. The Teacher of the Year Fund will make an annual award to the Teacher of the $25,000 Reserved Year at each level. Towne Bank will present the award. The York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. (YFPE, Inc.) is a separate organization that works to enhance the quality of York County s schools. YFPE, Inc. projects and grants encourage creativity, reward productivity, and increase opportunities for student learning in and outside of the classroom. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the YFPE, Inc., the historical quality of the York County School Division now includes exciting new opportunities for students and teachers that would not be possible without their support. Funds defray costs to attend workshops, conferences or college courses that focus on research-based instructional strategies and/or technology in education. Annual Teacher and Para-Educator Scholarships A scholarship of $900 will be made in your name for one year $1,000 (10 available) A scholarship of $900 will be made in your name annually for five years $5,000 (10 available) Endowed Fund for Teacher and Para-Educator Scholarships A scholarship of $450 will be named in your honor that will be $10,000 (10 available) distributed annually forever A scholarship of $1,000 will be named in your honor that will be $25,000 (10 available) distributed annually forever A scholarship of $2,000 will be named in your honor that will be $50,000 (10 available) distributed annually forever These scholarships are chosen by the scholarship committee but the donor will be able to present the award.

YCSD Employee Scholarships Supports employees with continued educational or professional development. Annual YCSD Employee Scholarships A scholarship of $900 will be made in your name for one year $1,000 (10 available) A scholarship of $900 will be made in your name annually for five years $5,000 (10 available) Endowed Fund for YCSD Employee Scholarships A scholarship of $450 will be named in your honor that will be $10,000 (10 available) distibuted annually forever A scholarship of $1,000 will be named in your honor that will be $25,000 (10 available) distibuted annually forever A scholarship of $2,000 will be named in your honor that $50,000 (10 available) will be distibuted annually forever These scholarships are chosen by the scholarship committee but the donor will be able to present the award. Technology Fund Funds to support innovative technology used in each school. Bay Electric Co. Inc, Technology Initiative $100,000 Annual A fund for innovative technology enhancements in each school. Bay Electric Co. Inc., will fund $1,000 grants annually for five years for each of the 19 schools and the division. This gift will be used as a challenge grant for endowment fund-raising. Endowment Opportunites A fund will be named in your honor for all ten elementary schools $100,000 A fund will be named in your honor for all four middle schools $50,000 A fund will be named in your honor for all four high schools $50,000 A fund will be named in your honor for one school $10,000 The Circle of Families in conjunction with the individual Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) will help raise $1,000 each year for five years for each school for a total of $100,000 in endowment funds. The Campaign Committee will raise an additional $100,000 in five year pledges for a total of $200,000 in pledges for the endowment. This will leave each school with a minimum endowment fund of $10,000 for technology. 10% of all gifts made to the campaign will be allocated to the YFPE, Inc. Operations Fund unless otherwise requested by the donor.
