Countermeasures - Capabilities Special Material Decoys Chemring s Special Material Decoys rapidly oxidise in air to generate an Infra-Red signature to protect against advanced heatseeking air-to-air and surface-toair missile threats. Used on multiple platforms including fast-jets, helicopters and transport aircraft. Material is dispensed from conventional cartridges, or a BOL dispenser to provide a preemptive solution to prevent missile lock-on before launch.
