Hull began as a fishing and trading post, later becoming a resort for the rich and famous in the early 1890 s. Hull s popular beaches attract tens of thousands of visitors each summer. Hull has a year round population of approximately 10,000 which swells in the summer to 20,000. It s primary source of revenue is property tax and the median household income is $65,932. The isolated location fosters a great sense of pride among its residents. Hull High School, built on the tip of a peninsula, opened in 1957. Few schools can match our scenic setting with a 21 st century wind turbine at the edge of our football field, and the Boston skyline in the distance. The school has 344 students, grades 9 to 12, and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We were named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. 77% of the students from the class of 2014 went on to study at a 4- or 2-year college. Hull High School is committed to academic excellence, personal responsibility, and the development of life-long learners within the global community.
