Striving for excellence in health and safety This is a joint event between the Bristol and West Branch and the South West Branch. The theme of the conference is Striving for excellence in health and safety. The seminar will address a variety of key safety and health issues, providing valuable knowledge to encourage good practice and, ultimately, motivate delegates to strive for excellence. You will gain knowledge from speakers with experience across a range of sectors, including water, power generation and retail. Presentations will explore challenges, improvement initiatives and learning outcomes, while effective management of supply chains will also be covered. The HSE s Philip White will discuss some of the current issues and challenges from the regulator s perspective, and Gerard Forlin will speak about developments in sentencing and the potential consequences if required standards are not met. Workplace airborne hazards and IOSH s No Time to Lose cancerawareness campaign also feature. The final presentation will be a powerful personal story, demonstrating what can happen when things go wrong and the benefits of leading in safety. What s in it for you?
