Company Overview RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to develop an agreement to be brought back for City Council action with Cordoba Corporation for professional services required during the implementation of the Westside Subway Extension Project. INTRODUCTION At the direction of City Council, staff requested statements of interest from several firms having expertise in the engineering design and construction management of rail transit projects to provide support services during implementation of Westside Subway Extension Project - Segment 1. After reviewing qualifications and interviewing several firms, staff recommends selecting Cordoba Corporation to provide professional services to assist the City during planning and construction of the La Cienega Station. If authorized, staff will develop a professional services agreement and return to City Council for approval. DISCUSSION The implementation of the Westside Subway Extension Segment 1 currently requires significant resources from the City and will continue to require resources for several years. In lieu of hiring additional City staff, City Council requested that a consultant is Page 1 of 2 7/25/2014

Meeting Date: July 29, 2014 retained to assist the City of Beverly Hills with review, oversight, liaison and coordination during design and construction phases. Staff contacted several firms having an expertise in rail transportation projects to find a firm with the experience and depth of available resources to support the City as required during the implementation of the subway project. Qualified firms were interview by staff from the Capital Assets Department and the City Manager s Office. Additionally, two firms were interviewed by the City Council Ad Hoc Subway Subcommittee (Mayor Bosse and Councilmember Mirisch). Cordoba Corporation was determined to be the most qualified to provide the required services. CORDOBA CORPORATION 30 YEARS CALIFORNIA HIGH-SPEED RAIL OF EXCELLENCE METRO EXPO LINE PHASE I AND II - I -- Cordoba professionals located in both northern and southern California work as members of the overall Program Management Team (PMT) and Engineering Management Team (EMT). In southern California, Cordoba serves as Regional Program Manager for 200 miles including the Los Angeles to Anaheim and Los Angeles to San Diego (via the Inland Empire) sections of the high-speed train network. As part of the EMT for sections from Fresno to San Diego, our professional staff provides review and coordination of engineering submittals.
