Welcome to imeet for Android Host or attend an imeet meeting right from your Android smartphone. The Android app has all the key features and functionality of imeet on the desktop so that you can meet anytime, with anyone around the world. Your favorite imeet features are right at your fingertips: Meet online from anywhere to anywhere in the world. Easily host or join a meeting with a few simple taps. See who is talking. The active talker s row glows green. A blue glow shows for VoIP connections in a Dolby room. During the meeting, invite guests via email or SMS, or have the meeting call them. Meet face-to-face. Stream your video camera and view other guests shared webcams. Increase meeting productivity by sharing files from your imeet File Cabinet with the room. Pass control to one of your guests or let guests share their desktop screens. Chat with everyone in the room or chat privately. Record your meeting. Meeting minutes and video recordings are delivered to your file cabinet. Install imeet on your Android smartphone Download the app The imeet app can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store. 1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device. 2. In the Search bar, type the word imeet. 3. Download and install the app. System requirements The imeet app supports smartphones running Android platform versions 4.4 and newer (KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, and Nougat). You must have an active Internet connection to use the imeet app, either through your wireless carrier s 3G/4G/LTE network or via Wi-Fi. imeet for Android User Guide 4

Getting started Once you install the application, tap the imeet icon to get started. Sign in (hosts and registered users) If you have an imeet room or previously signed up with imeet (with your email address and password), enter your Host or Registered User account credentials, and then tap Sign in. imeet signs you in to your imeet account and displays the Contacts screen. imeet for Android User Guide 5

Getting started Sign in (unregistered users) You can join someone else s meeting by entering your name and email, and then tap Join Meeting. Click the link in your email invite or enter the meeting URL, and then tap Continue to join the meeting. imeet displays the meeting screen with your name added to the Participants list. imeet for Android User Guide 6

Get to know imeet on the Android imeet home screen (hosts and registered users) After you start imeet, it displays the Contacts screen, where you can manage your contacts. Tap the menu button to open the app menu and start your meeting, join someone else s meeting, and send meeting invitations. Open the app menu. Search imeet contacts or add a new contact. Tap to view contact details and join his or her imeet meeting. imeet for Android User Guide 7

Get to know imeet on the Android App menu (hosts) Tap the menu button to display the app menu. You can start your meeting, join someone else s meeting, send meeting invitations, and sign out of your account. Contacts view all of your imeet contacts, or add new contacts. Start my meeting jump in to your imeet room. Join a meeting join someone else s meeting. Schedule a meeting send an email invitation to your guests. Enter your guests email addresses or select guests from your Android s Contacts list, and imeet sends the invitation. Sign Out exit the app and return to the login screen. Share this app invite others to use the imeet app. While in a meeting, you can also: My Meeting return to a meeting in progress. Leave meeting step out of the meeting and allow your guests to continue, or end the meeting and dismiss all guests. imeet for Android User Guide 8

Get to know imeet on the Android App menu (guests) If you are a registered user, the app menu contains three options. You can access your contacts, join someone else s meeting, and sign out to return to the login screen. Unregistered users can join a meeting and sign out; there is no Contacts option. Registered users only. Manage your contacts. Join a meeting. Search your contacts and recently attended meetings and join a meeting. Or, just enter a meeting URL. While in a meeting, these are also available: Someone s meeting return to a meeting in progress. Leave meeting exit the meeting. imeet for Android User Guide 9

Manage imeet contacts You can manage your contacts, search for other imeet hosts in your company or Android contacts, and manually add new ones. Plus, imeet automatically synchronizes your contacts across all your devices, so you are ready to meet and collaborate from anywhere you are. Tap to view the app menu. First-time users If this is your first time launching the imeet app, it prompts you to get started and build your contacts. If you are not a first time user, tap Contacts from the main screen to manage contacts. Search your saved contacts. Add a new imeet contact. Current users If you have used imeet on any of your devices, tap Contacts on the app menu to display your existing contacts. imeet for Android User Guide 10

Manage imeet contacts Add imeet Contacts Just start typing to search the contacts on your phone, or tap the address book button to scroll through your saved contacts or your company directory. Search your company directory Tap imeet DIRECTORY to search your company directory for other imeet hosts and add them to your imeet contacts. Search again to select more contacts. When ready, tap the check button to save the imeet users to your imeet contacts. Later, you can choose from your imeet contacts when joining a meeting. Manually add a new contact If a person is not in your Android or company directory, you can still add them to your imeet Contacts. Then, when you are hosting a meeting, you can invite them directly from your imeet contacts list. Search all contacts or browse your Android contacts and imeet directory. View all imeet meeting owners in your company directory or search for a specific person. Select a person from the results list or manually create a new contact. imeet for Android User Guide 11

Manage imeet contacts Grant access to your Android Contacts If you originally denied imeet access to your Android contacts, you can grant access through your Settings. On your Android device, tap Settings > Applications > Application manager > imeet > Permissions and switch the appropriate setting to ON. and switch Contacts to ON. Connect your audio When you start your own meeting or join another imeet meeting, the next step is to connect your audio. Connect now Connect audio over your device s data connection (either Wi-Fi or your mobile provider s 3G/4G/LTE network). Talk and listen through your Android device s mic and speakers, with or without a headset. Dial in Tap Dial in to see a list of available access numbers and tap to dial in to the meeting. The app enters the passcode for you. Call me Have the meeting call you at a phone number you enter. Tap here if you dialed in already, or plan to connect audio later, on the meeting controls. imeet for Android User Guide 13

Get to know the meeting room If you are familiar with imeet on the desktop, you will navigate the imeet app for Android quickly. Some of the features and functionality are available to hosts only. Host view In your meeting room, you have full control of participants and meeting functions. PARTICIPANTS. View all guest in the meeting. ACTIVE TALKER. See who is speaking or who spoke last in the meeting. CHAT. Message everyone or chat privately. FILES. View your file cabinet and share a file in the room. Meeting controls. Options for managing your audio and host meeting controls. Tap here to exit the meeting. VIDEO. Swipe right to start sharing your video camera and see other guests webcams. Guest Profile. Tap a guest s row to view their profile, chat privately, and mute or dismiss the guest. Active Talker. A green glow shows who is currently speaking. A blue glow shows speakers with Dolby Voice audio connections. imeet for Android User Guide 14

Get to know the meeting room Meeting controls (host) While hosting a meeting, you can adjust the meeting volume, mute all guests, and lock or record the meeting. You can also manage audio settings for your own meeting experience. When finished, tap the back button to return to the meeting screen. Mute your mic. Return to the meeting. Listen to the meeting on speakerphone. Mute all guests. Start recording the meeting. Lock the meeting and prevent other people from entering your room. Step out of your room or end the meeting and dismiss all guests. Adjust your mic and speaker volume. Switch between dialout and device audio. imeet for Android User Guide 15

Get to know the meeting room Guest view and controls If you are attending the meeting as a guest, the host s row is at the top and your row is just below it. Tap another person s name to view their profile and send a private chat message. Meeting controls. View options for participating in the meeting. Active Talker. A glow shows who is currently speaking Tap the meeting controls button to mute your mic, adjust your speaking volume, raise your hand, step away, or leave the meeting. Switch between dialout and device audio. imeet for Android User Guide 16

Get to know the meeting room View the active talker Tap ACTIVE TALKER to view the current or previous talker in the meeting. If no one has spoken after several seconds, the user s image grays out. You are also able to mute or place the user on speaker on this screen. Displays the talking status. Name of the current or previous talker. Mute the user. Listen to the user on speakerphone. imeet for Android User Guide 17

Get to know the meeting room View profiles Tap your own name to view your profile, or tap another guest s name to display contact details and meeting controls. If you are a host, the Detail page includes controls that let you adjust the participant s volume level, mute the guest, and dismiss the guest from the meeting. Chat privately with the guest. Get to know the meeting room Share your video cam Share your camera and meet face-to-face. Swipe right on the tab bar to access VIDEO, and then tap the video cam button to start sharing. imeet shows the live streams of all participants who are sharing their webcams. VIDEO. Swipe right to start sharing your video camera and see other guests webcams. imeet for Android User Guide 19

Invite guests to your meeting You can add guests at any time during your meeting. Just tap Invite others and choose how you want to invite your guests. You can have imeet call your guests, send a quick text message, or send an email invitation that includes your room URL and dial-in information. Call guests into your meeting Select one or several guests from your imeet contacts and phone contacts, and then tap the phone icon. imeet dials out to everyone you selected and brings them into the meeting. Scroll down to see your phone contacts. Send an invite by SMS Select guests from your imeet contacts and phone contacts, and then tap the chat icon. imeet opens a SMS message pre-populated with your meeting details. Your guests just tap the meeting URL to join. Send an invite by email Enter email addresses or select guests from your phone contacts. imeet sends an invitation with your meeting details and a meeting link to join. Schedule a meeting and send invites Not meeting now? Use the imeet Toolbar for Outlook (included with imeet for Windows) to schedule and track meetings using your Outlook calendar. imeet sends everyone a meeting invitation with your room URL and dial-in information. Meeting productivity Get all your guests on the same page, in real time, by presenting a file or video. You can access and present your files and videos right from your room s file cabinet, across any device and Pass Control to a meeting guest. TIP: To upload files to your file cabinet, email them to YourRoomName@iMeetFiles.com. If your meeting URL contains a company name, include it in the address. For example, imeet.com/abccompany/jenna becomes abccompany.jenna@imeetfiles.com. Share a file or video 1. On the tab bar, tap FILES. 2. Choose a file or video and then tap Present file. Swipe left and right to navigate a multi-page document or presentation. Pinch to zoom in and out. Tap to open a preview. Ready to share? Tap Present file. Stop presenting. imeet for Android User Guide 21

Meeting productivity Pass control As the host, you can pass control of the file you are sharing to another guest in your meeting. Tap the Pass Control icon, select the guest whom you would like to continue presenting, and then tap Update. Take back control. Stop presenting. Tap to show presenter s name. imeet for Android User Guide 22

Meeting productivity Guest screen share You cannot share your Android device screen, but you can allow your guests to share. (To share your screen, host your meeting from your computer desktop.) 1. Tell your guest to tap SHARE > SHARE MY SCREEN. imeet sends you a request. 2. Tap Accept to let the guest start sharing her screen with the room. imeet displays a screen icon in the menu bar. To view your guest s screen, tap the screen sharing icon. When you re ready to take back control, tap End. Tap to view the shared screen... Rotate for a better view. Record your meeting imeet recordings capture a high-quality video of your meeting, including files and videos that you shared, the participants, and all public chats and notes. When you record your meeting, you also get Web-based Meeting Minutes that contain the meeting video, plus the meeting date and time, attendee names, public chats and notes, and links to all files shared. You can record up to one hour at a time. Start recording Note: At least one participant must be in the room in order to be able to record the meeting. Stop recording. On the imeet controls, tap Record, and then confirm that you want to record the meeting. imeet displays a recording timer to everyone in your room. When you re finished, just tap the message to stop recording. You will get a notice in your room and by email when your Meeting Minutes are ready so you can share them with whomever you choose. Meeting recordings The video recording is available in your file cabinet several minutes to an hour after you finish your meeting. (Expect about an hour to finalize the recording for an hour-long meeting.) Hosts can replay a meeting recording from your file cabinet. In your meeting room, tap FILES to open your file cabinet. Meeting Minutes Meeting Minutes are available in your file cabinet after you stop recording the meeting. imeet sends an email with a link to your Meeting Minutes. Meeting Minutes are not accessible from the Android app. To view and share Meeting Minutes, enter your room via a web browser, imeet for Desktop, or the imeet for ipad app. Meeting Minutes are saved in the file cabinet, on the MEETING MINUTES tab. imeet for Android User Guide 24

Chat with guests imeet chat is a way to have a text conversation with multiple people in your imeet room. You can chat with everyone in the imeet room, or chat privately with a guest. Chat privately Tap a guest s row to send a chat message to a person in a meeting; this displays a private chat screen for conversations with just you and one other person. Chat with everyone Tap Everyone to send a message to everyone in the meeting. Type in what you want to say, and then tap the blue arrow to send. imeet for Android User Guide 25

Chat with guests Chat on the go (imeet Chat app) Away from your desk? You can chat with anyone who is registered with imeet, right from your Android smartphone. Download the imeet Chat app and start or continue a conversation: Chat with any imeet contact Continue a team chat that was started on the desktop (you cannot start a team chat on imeet Chat for Android) Share pictures and links in the conversation Jump into a meeting using the imeet app Pick up the conversation when you get back to your desk. imeet syncs your conversations between the Android app and the imeet desktop app on your Mac or Windows PC. You can also access the imeet and imeet Agenday apps directly from imeet Chat. For more information about using imeet Chat, download and view the imeet User Guide (Hosts and Guests) from the imeet Community. Type a message, take a picture, or share existing photos. To share a web link, just enter the URL. imeet for Android User Guide 26
