Speaker Bios Zac Kapp Zachary Kapp has worked at Intermountain Healthcare since 2014. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He started his Intermountain career at Primary Children s Hospital as an HR Consultant where he began facilitating leadership courses and new employee orientation. Building on his experience, he joined the Leadership and Development team as an education program coordinator before moving to his current role as an leadership and organizational development consultant. Zac currently facilitates the Leading Change, Personal Productivity, Project Management, and Manager Quickstart leadership development courses. He is also a project manager and consultant on multiple projects and committees, and he coordinates continuous improvement A3s for the One Intermountain transformation. Roy Craig Director Revenue Cycle Strategy Cerner Corporation As a director in Revenue Cycle Strategy, Roy focuses on the direction and strategy for Cerner Contract Management, VBR and Soarian Patient Accounting. Roy makes an impact on clients by leading a team that ensures on-time delivery of solutions that maximize value for our clients. Roy has 26
years of experience in health care revenue cycle. He joined Cerner through the Siemens Health Services (HS) acquisition in 2015. Roy most recently led several Soarian Revenue Cycle solution teams responsible for Reimbursement, Claims & Follow-up. At Siemens HS, Roy served in various roles in solution strategy, beta management and consulting services, spending the first half of his HS career focused on Revenue Cycle optimization and implementation as well as integration consulting. During his time at Cerner, Roy has contributed to the client experience in multiple roles through leading measurable value driven projects in solution strategy, beta management and consulting. He has a strong track record optimizing projects and leading teams through change with his collaborative approach while remaining focused on maximizing the value to Cerner and our clients. Roy is a graduate of Holly Family University and has a bachelor s degree in management and marketing. Lisa Rarick Lead Solution Stategist, revenue Cycle Development Cerner Corporation Lisa Rarick has served more than 25 years in the health insurance industry. Her focus for the past several years has been population health and value based payment models. Rarick helped launch Cerner s TPA operations to service its associate s self-insured plan, and has also supported health plan administration for Cerner clients. Prior to Cerner, Rarick gained experience in larger insurance companies including Aetna and Cigna. She also managed operations for a large Kansas City-based PHO and its employer contracts.
Kelly Howard Director of Patient Financial Services Intermountain Healthcare Kelly J Howard is responsible for the facilities and professional providers self-pay collections, financial assistance, bad debt agency support and a variety of RCO support functions. She has been with Intermountain Healthcare 26 years. Kelly is a California native but now calls Utah her home. She has 2 grown children, a daughter Meggie and her son Billy. She is not a world renowned professional speaker however finds comfort in sharing her family s personal story of addiction. Five years ago few may have known someone with, or affected by addiction. Today unfortunately this has changed. Dr. Cory Moss, DHA, MBA, HFA Assistant Professor Weber State University Dr. Moss began his healthcare career as a Long Term Care intern in California. After completing a 1000 training course regulated and supervised by the California State Department of Health, he sat for the NAB licensure exam for LTC Administrators. In 1998 Dr. Moss was part of a collaborative effort at Independent Quality Care, Inc. in winning the first ever step 1 award for the AHCA Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award for Long Term Care. This was the first year skilled nursing facilities were
eligible and Independent Quality Care had three facility locations qualify for this award. Prior to accepting a full time position at Weber State as the Enrollment Director for the Master of Health Administration program Dr. Moss was a Homecare and Hospice Administrator. He has extensive experience in healthcare sales and marketing, personnel management, quality assurance, utilization management and review, and public/county health systems. As a Homecare Administrator Dr. Moss was elected as a Board member of the Utah Association for Homecare for two consecutive terms. Additionally, Dr. Moss served from 2010-2017 as a Board Member for the Utah Healthcare Executives Utah Chapter, for the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves on the Ogden Regional Medical Center Ethics Advisory Committee. Since 2002 he has been a Faculty member in the MHA/HAS department at Weber State University. Macey Buker, PhD, CPA Undergraduate Program Director of the Health Services Administrative Program Weber State University Macey Buker is the Undergraduate Program Director of the Health Services Administrative program at Weber State University. He earned a doctorate degree in Health Administration from Walden University, a master s degree in Accounting from Utah State University and a master's degree in Health Administration from Weber State University. Mr. Buker has more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience working with industries including; retail, wholesale, construction, mining, automotive, and healthcare.
Steve Eliason, CPA Lisa Goren Lisa Goren is a healthcare executive coach, speaker and consultant who advises leaders on creating teams and organizations that people want to belong to. She believes engagement is measured in one simple way: By the number of good days we have. Therefore, Lisa hustles hard to ensure those who work in all the nooks and crannies of healthcare can cultivate more good days for themselves and whomever may cross their path. Lisa draws on over 15 years of experience helping healthcare leaders and teams increase their connection to work and those they work with. She is on faculty in several healthcare master s programs, a frequent conference speaker and a professional Netflix consumer.
Kate de Lisle Kate de Lisle is a senior associate based in Salt Lake City. As an associate, Kate contributes intelligence on the accountable care movement through primary and secondary research, nationally tracking and monitoring ACOs and the transition to value-based care more broadly. Building and managing relationships with ACO leadership across the U.S., Kate combines qualitative insights from frontline leaders with market and state level analysis to better understand the evolution of health care. Before joining Leavitt Partners, Kate worked in the health care industry both clinically and administratively. Kate graduated from Brigham Young University where she studied public health.
