Why do you want to serve the association as a Board of Director? Since I joined the organization in 2006 I was inspired by the values the NAEMSE has brought to the EMS Education Community.I believe that we as an organization are at a crossroads for the profession of EMS and we can be the advocates to increasing use of medical simulation.this will in turn allow for better education EMS standards and help our providers to reduce medical errors and have a bigger impact our community. 2. What expertise or special skills do you possess that would enhance the mission of the association The expertise I possess is formal education along with decades of field experiences as EMS Provider,Leader & educator. I have a great deal of experience in EMS research and grant writing.with respect to inter professional entities like NIH. I am considered by my colleagues to be an expert in Medical Simulation with specialization in EMS Operations, Public Health emergencies & Counter terrorism medical response. I literally wrote the revision of the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation Counter Terrorism Medical Response Simulation Program in 2012.This program has been used to train over 30,000 emergency providers to deal with chemical, biological, radio logical, nuclear, explosive & active shooter response to terrorism for EMS. 3. As a member of NAEMSE how have you contributed to the growth of the

association? As a member of NAEMSE I have sat on the EMS Education Committee & lately the EMS Consensus in Medical Simulation that supported the Simulation Use in Paramedic Education Research (SUPER): A Descriptive Study and help to contribute to the vision paper in November 2015., 4. He did his undergraduate work at Edinboro University of PA,University of Pittsburgh, Center for Emergency Medicine & Everest University. He received his Bachelor of Sciences with highest honors in Homeland Security in 2014. Graduate school at the Dr.Ken Blanchard School of Leadership at Grand Canyon University. earning his Masters of Sciences in leadership. Eric has work for over 20 years in EMS Education and has promoted the professional earning the Florida Association of EMS Educators Con Ed Instructor of the Year award in 2013. Eric has strive to remain active as a paramedic throughout his career while continuing to provide EMS Education with his passion on Response to active shooting and counter terrorism medical response for EMS both utilizing medical simulation. Eric is considered to be an expert in Homeland Security, Emergency Management & in high fidelity EMS medical simulation. Eric has wrote multiple articles and been reviewer different EMS publishers of textbooks while conducting academic research in EMS education.
