Applying for a CLR Fellowship The Center for Latino Research (CLR) provides research and learning opportunities to all fulltime, tenure-track, and tenured faculty at DePaul University, regardless of their disciplines. Perform the following steps in the CLR Fellowship Program system to apply for a research fellowship: 1. Click the link below to access the CLR Fellowship Program application. https://lascollege.depaul.edu/clrfellowship 2. Login using your Campus Connect username and password. 3. The home page is displayed with information about the following: CLR Mission Faculty Fellowship Eligibility Review and Award Process Award Completion Apply for Fellowship Read the given information very carefully before applying for a research fellowship program. 1
4. It is very important to go through the application criteria given in the CLR Fellowship Guidelines document. 5. After you have read the application criteria, check the I have reviewed the application criteria checkbox and then click the Apply button. 2
6. The application form is displayed. Your name, email address, office phone number and office address will automatically be displayed, because the application is synced with the information you provided in Campus Connect. Enter your College and Department names in the respective fields. Note: If you are an LAS faculty, the College and Department fields will also be automatically filled in for you. 7. Click the Rank drop-down list and select your rank in the university. Note: If you have any questions regarding a particular field, click the Question Mark icon to get more information and instruction. 3
8. Enter the number of years you have worked at the university in the Years at DePaul field. 9. Enter the title of your project in the Project Title field. 10. Select the quarter for your Fellowship/course release. Note: This is the quarter during which you would be granted a course release via the fellowship. 11. If you have received a CLR Faculty Fellowship in the past five years, select the Yes option from the drop-down list. Otherwise, select the No option. 4
12. If you have selected the Yes option, enter the year in which you received this award. 13. If you have received DePaul fellowships/awards in the past or if you are applying for any other DePaul fellowships/awards this year, then select the Yes option from the drop-down list and provide an explanation in the comments text box. Otherwise, select the No option. Note: There is a maximum limit of 500 characters for providing an explanation. 5
14. Upload the Abstract, Project Description, Bibliography, List of Recent Activities, and Curriculum Vitae documents in the relevant fields. Remember that all your documents should be anonymous except your Curriculum Vitae. Note: If you need more information on what should be included in each document, click the Question Mark icon to get more instruction. 15. Enter the information about your Department Chair and Dean in the given fields. Note: If you are an LAS faculty, these fields will already be filled in for you. 16. Review the information that you provided on the form, and then click the Submit Application button to submit your CLR Fellowship application. 6
17. You will receive a prompt message that your application has been successfully submitted. Click the OK button. Note: Once you have submitted the application, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Your Department Chair and Dean will be contacted via email, and will be asked to endorse your fellowship application. A CLR administrator will let you know if they need further information from you. 18. Your application is now under the Review Fellowship Applications section. If you want to make any changes to your application and it is before the deadline, please email the changes to clr@depaul.edu. 7
