THINK CHINA THINK GENERATION UK Generation UK is a campaign launched by the British Council in 2013 that aims to help you to boost your employability and develop a global mindset by creating more opportunities for UK students in China. The British Council Chongqing Scholarship is jointly funded by the British Council in China and the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and is for UK students looking to undertake a term of study (approximately five months) in Chongqing. WHAT S ON OFFER? The scholarship covers the following for the full period of study in Chongqing: Tuition fees in Chongqing Accommodation fees Living allowance of 1200 RMB per month (approximately 120 GBP) Medical insurance You will need to cover the cost of your own flights, visas, vaccinations and any other costs related to your travel. COURSE AND UNIVERSITIES A total of three universities across Chongqing are participating in this -initia tive. Scholarship awardees will undertake intensive Chinese language training, with opportunities to learn about China s culture, economy and business environment. Language training courses will include approximately 20 hours of taught classes per week and will begin in September 2015. ACCOMMODATION Accommodation for all scholars is located on the university campus in international student dormitories. Rooms are normally shared with another scholar or international student and are fully furnished.

The job market nowadays is increasingly borderless and experience in China allows you to compete more effectively in the world economy. Not only will you acquire a broader range of skills to offer a future employer, you will also have a lot of fun at the same time. Students who study abroad often say that it is one skills. It is a port town, traversed by both the Yangtze and the Jialing river, and has dense forests, karst mountains and fabulous gorges and caves to visit.
