Objectives: To create awareness and develop skills for income generation. To encourage and enable students to start business by providing professional guidance and consultancy service. To organise seminar, conference, workshop and training programme to enhance the prospects of women entrepreneurs. To network with NGOs, SHG and local bodies for promoting their business. Year Date Activity 2011-12 16.10.2011 Student stalls of healthy eatables, stationeries and garments was arranged to motivate the budding entrepreneurs. 15.02.2012 A one month intensive entrepreneurship development programme for to scheduled caste youth of Ramanthapuram district on the topic You can 20.03.2012 be an Entrepreneur was organised by Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Government of Tamilnadu in partnership with Ministry of Micro, Small and Meduim Enterprises, Government of India and National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Hyderabad and supported by TBAKC, Kilakarai. 15.03.2012 A one day training programme on making soft toy products was arranged. Ms. Rajalakshmi, final year MCA student of our college was the resource person. 25 SC/ST unemployment youth attended and got trained in making soft toy products. 2012 13 24.08.2012 A one day training programme on hand made products was organised in order to create self-employment ability among students. Ms. Rajalakshmi, alumnae of our institution was the resource person. 30.08.2012 College bazaar was organised by Tamilnadu Corporation Development of Women in our college campus in order to provide handhold support

for the sale of self-help group products and also the students of Business Administration were trained to analyse the quality, rate and the packaging techniques of the self-help products. 11.12.2012 A one day orientation program on Kick starting the Entrepreneurial 17.12.2012 to 31.12.2012 Campus was conducted for all staff members. Dr. Rosy Fernando, Head, Department of Commerce and Dean of Student Training and Development, MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai was the resource person. A twelve days intensive entrepreneurship development programme for unemployment youth of Ramanthapuram district on the topic You can be an Entrepreneur was organised by Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Government of Tamilnadu in partnership with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India and National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Hyderabad and supported by TBAKC, Kilakarai. 2013 14 04.07.2013 25.07.2013 04.08.2013 04.10.2013 17.10.2013 Student stalls of healthy eatables, stationeries and garments was arranged to motivate the budding entrepreneurs. 20.10.2013 K.M. Buvaneswari, Assistant Professor participated in one day state 21.01.2014 to 23.01.2014 2014 15 21.08.2014 to 23.08.2014 level conference in Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised by ICT Academy at Madurai and Grant-in-aid of Rs. 1,00,000/- released during 2013-14 from Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Gunidy, Chennai 600 032 to meet the expenses under the scheme of Establishment of Entrepreneurship Development Cell in Higher Educational Institutions Three days was organised by Tamilnadu Corporation Development of Women in our college campus in order to provide handhold support for the sale of self-help group products and the exhibition was inaugurated by Ms. Poonkkulali, Project Officer, Tamilnadu Corporation development of Women, Ramanathapuram. A Three day College bazaar was organised by Tamilnadu Corporation Development of Women in our college campus in order to provide handhold support for the sale of self-help group products and to improve awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship 24.09.2014 student stalls of healthy eatables, stationeries and garments was arranged to motivate the budding entrepreneurs 16.09.2014 An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme was organised for creating

awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship. Dr. Rosy Fernando, Head, Department of Commerce and Dean of Student Training and Development, MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai was the resource person 28.11.2014 A one day training programme on hand made products was organised in order to create self-employment ability among students. Ms. Rajalakshmi, alumnae of our institution was the resource person 19.12.2014 A guest lecture on Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive among Students was organized and Dr. A. Jasmine, Head, Department of Business Administration, TBAKC was the resource person 12.01.2015 An expo of handloom products from Co-optex, Ramanathapuram was arranged to develop an interest for handloom products among students 2015 16 24.06.2015 An expo on garments of Helen Fabrics, Madurai and Swapan Saree and and Textiles of Mr.Nag Bapi was arranged in our campus to motivate the 25.06.2015 entrepreneurial interest of private entrepreneurs 23.07.2015 A three days College bazaar was organised by Tamilnadu Corporation to Development of Women in our college campus in order to provide 25.07.2015 handhold support for the sale of self-help group products and to improve awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship 29.09.2015 An exhibition cum sale of products made by mentally challenged children was arranged to motivate the entrepreneurial ability of disabled persons 02.12.2015 Student stalls of healthy eatables, stationeries and garments was arranged to motivate the budding entrepreneurs 10.12.2015 A guest lecture on Food Safety as per Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 was arranged for students in our college campus and the resource persons were Mr. K. Nagalingam (Food Safety Officer, Kilakarai), Mr. Valmuki (Food Safety Officer, Damudhi Block) and Mr. Krishna Kumar (Food Safety Officer, Kadaladi Block) 14.03.2016 student stalls of healthy eatables, stationeries and garments was arranged to motivate the budding entrepreneurs 19.03.2016 A training programme on jewel making was arranged for UG final year students. 30 students from various departments have participated in this programme 24.04.2016 Co-ordianator of CED attended a one day orientation programme on the topic Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Colleges conducted by EDI,

2016 17 Chennai 25.07.2016 Mehandi Competition has been conducted for UG students to find out the best mehandi designer and 36 students from various departments participated 29.08.2016 An exhibition cum sale of products of Occupational Therapy Unit (A creation of mentally disabled persons), MS Chellamuthu Trust & Research Foundation, Madurai has arranged to motivate the entrepreneurial ability of mentally disabled persons. Students and staff from all Departments actively participated 01.09.2016 To encourage students entrepreneurial skill, stall was arranged for students in our college premises. Students from various departments actively participated and organized 27 stalls 27.09.2016 Ms. C. Pandi Sasikala, Co-ordinator and Ms. M. Jeyanthi, Member of CED attended a Top Management Orientation Workshop on Entrepreneurship promotion in academic institutions organized by Entrepreneurial Development Institute, Chennai, at Thiagaraja Engineering college, Madurai as management representatives 13.10.2016 Ms. R. Sargunapathi, Librarian, Department of Library and Ms. to Madheena Beevi, Tutor, Department of Islamic Studies have attended a 15.10.2016 three day Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurial promotion in academic institutions organized by Entrepreneurial Development Institute at Thiagaraja Engineering College, Madurai 26.10.2016 Stall has been arranged to motivate the entrepreneurial ability of the alumnae and the private entrepreneurs 27.12.2016 A three days College bazaar was organised by Tamilnadu Corporation to Development of Women in our college campus in order to provide 29.12.2016 handhold support for the sale of self-help group products and to improve awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship 07.02.2017 Ms. C. Pandi Sasikala, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, (Co-coordinator of CED) has visited Gandhigram University, Dindugal, to strengthen the activities of Cell for Entrepreneur Development. On 13.02.2017, Ms. R. Sargunapathi, Librarian, Department of Library and Ms. Madheena Beevi, Tutor, Department of Islamic Studies (members of CED) had attended a review meeting on promotion of entrepreneurship in colleges at Thiagaraja Engineering college, Madurai 20.02.2017 An orientation on Entrepreneurship e-learning module was organized and 15 students from the Department of Commerce and Business

Administration registered their names for e-learning course. 01.03.2017 Ms. M. Jeyanthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, had attended Bridge 2017 Creating High Impact Placement and Incubation Centres organized by ICT Academy, Chennai 15.03.2017 A training Programme on Salwar stitching was organized at Home to Science Textile and Clothing lab. 17 students from various departments 01.04.2017 actively participated and Ms. Vishali, III B.Com served as a trainer 16.03.2017 16.03.2017 till last working day of this semester daily stall (Seasonal drinks) has been arranged by Ms. Jumana, I M.Com in our campus 18.03.2017 Stall was arranged near hostel building on PTA Governing body meeting day to motivate the entrepreneurial ability of the students, alumnae and private entrepreneurs 23.03.2017 Ms. C. Pandi Sasikala, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and (Co-ordinator, CED) and 33 student members of CED attended the 24.03.2017 Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp -2017, sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, kilakarai. 30.03.2017 Ms. C. Pandi Sasikala, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, (Co-ordinator, CED) visited Rural Training Centre at Karaikudi along with Principal mam to strengthen the activities of CED 21.01.2014 to 23.01.2014 College bazaar
