ATTENTION SENIORS! CAP & GOWN PICTURES Cap and gown pictures will be taken after school on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30 on the stage in the cafeteria. Please bring your OWN cap and gown that you will be wearing at graduation. All picture orders must be pre-paid and the order forms are available in the Main Office. Prom Tickets on Sale NOW! Join us for "Midnight in Morocco" Prom Saturday, April 25, 8 p.m. 12 a.m. LHS Cafeteria Juniors and Seniors are allowed buy Prom Tickets April 13-24 in the Main Office during your ILT. Single tickets are $35 and the couple's tickets are $70. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. Congratulations to Rebecca Joy and Anna Darnell who have been named Converse Junior Scholars! These young ladies met the requirement set by the college by having an excellent academic record. They will be eligible for additional scholarship opportunities if they select Converse as their post-secondary education. Dear Students, Thank you for all of those who expressed interest in being on next year's 2015-2016 yearbook staff! We have had an amazing turnout! As you may know, the application process closed on Tuesday, April 14. Therefore, all applications along with teacher recommendations must be in my box by tomorrow to be considered. For those of you who have missed this deadline and are interested in being on staff in the future, I do encourage you to sign up for Ms. Florence's Journalism class. Students who have this as a

prerequisite get priority in the application process. For those of you who have finished the application. I will be finalizing a list of those who made staff in the upcoming weeks. If you pass the first cut, you will be receiving an invite to the interviews. If you do not get selected, I do encourage you to also join Ms. Florence's Journalism class again, these students get priority in the selection process. Greece Spring Break 2016 There will be another meeting to fill a few more spots on our trip to Greece next year. We have had a great response and many students have already signed up. The price is locked through the end of April so this is the VERY BEST time to get signed up! Meeting is Thursday April 23 at 7 p.m. in Room D213. Summer Volunteer Opportunity Carolina Wildlife Center Junior Volunteer Program 15 to 17 year olds Rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild Will be trained to care for turtles and opossums, make diets, and various animal related housekeeping 1-2 days per week from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. Contact at Carolina Wildlife Center is Josie Seacrist Complete online application by May 1 at http://carolinawildlife.org/volunteer ($20 fee for t-shirt and name tag) Contact Mrs. Williams in E203 for more details Internship Information Applications for internships are now being accepted for Fall 2015 (August December 2015). Students find a location, complete the application and submit it to Mrs. Williams, Career Specialist in E203. Applications for Lexington Medical Center internships are due no later than May 1 and all other applications are due no later than May 15. Applications and a list of any business requesting an intern are available outside of E203 in the black resources box. Volleyball Spring Practice! Girls interested in playing volleyball for the 2015-16 season we will be starting spring practices on Monday, April 20 from 3:30 5:30 p.m. in the new gym. We will practice every Monday and Wednesday thru May 20. You must have a sports physical either on file or brought with you in order to participate. SENIOR SUPPLIES MAKE-UP DAY

Attention Seniors! Jostens will return to campus on Wednesday, April 22, 11:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m. for a make-up day to pick up your Senior supplies. All balances must be PAID IN FULL prior to picking up your supplies. If paying the day of pickup, payment must be made by cash or money order only. This will be your FINAL opportunity to pick up your Senior supplies! Get your PHYSICAL for the 2015-2016 School Year! The Celebrate Freedom Foundation, in conjunction with the South Carolina Aeronautics Commission, and Clemson University s Youth Learning Institute, is pleased to announce that the SOaR Aviation Aerospace Summer Camp is now accepting student applications for rising 10 th, 11 th, and 12 th grade students. July 12-18 at Camp Long: 82 Camp Long Road, Aiken, SC Fifty high school students will get to enjoy cross-country flights in a Cessna 172, flight simulations, field trips to Shaw Air Force Base and aircraft manufacturing facilities, courses on aviation history, physics and aircraft maintenance, and more!
